12/20/13: i will finish this or die trying. =P goal is 1 month. urk, i'm dead. symbiosis failed. wat?
10/9/13: urgh. still writing. progress is hard to estimate because the story is still fluid and my outlines keep changing on me. but i think it's finally starting to take on its final shape. maybe.
8/6/13: ok. had to reorganize the scenes. an early scene was too powerful and dominated everything after it.
would be fine for a short story, but not for this. pushed the scene back. seems better now. this beast keeps
wanting to get bigger. urgh. it's been a bit of a slog. a lot of ideas to juggle. but disparate/competing elements
slowly falling into their proper order. i hope. a ton of writing left to do on this one. gah.
8/2/13: urgh. still trying to wrap my head around all of the parts of this story and its different endings.
i try to work quickly, but i think this might take me a month. or two. dunno.
7/31/13: ok, time to get serious.

FINALLY, i get to put the church of the recursive walnut into a story!
was gonna do it in planet of meat.

edit: dam. i don't like some of the stuff i've written. the main plot is boring me. not really getting any inspiration either.
might have to set it aside temporarily and work on something else.
grrr. sucks cuz there are some things in this that i really like.

edit2: hrmmm ... starting to get a little traction. but still kinda stuck in the mud.

trying to be overambitious turned it into garbage. yay.

I have a stockpile of stories and unfinished projects, but no way to work on them right now. I've been wrapped in an invisible straitjacket and going ever more deeply insane.
