BCS >> The artist for the project is yvanc, the same person working on Enerccio's 2200 AD. Well, now that Bishojo Games has switched priorities with this project in the forefront (since it's closer to completion), I'm pretty sure Araiah will be the first complete game he's done so far. And I make sure to remind him how much of an excellent artist he is every time I talk to him.

mikey >> Yes, a meganekko. I'm quite the glasses fan myself... And yes, it's definitely a "Bishojo Games" game. I'm glad I get to still be a part of a project I pretty much left for dead, but Enerccio's the one running the show. He's the boss.

Sailor Kitty >> Hmm... I don't know percentages, but I guess I could scrape up a progress report... The script is done, aside from proof reading and perhaps a bit of editing. The art is being worked on and there's been great progress so far, but there's still much left to do on that end. No music thus far, and Enerccio is planning to have voice acting, but that hasn't started yet either (I'm not sure how much work will be involved here... it's only one heroine, but there's a lot of dialogue...)

And as for a summary... let's see...

The protagonist, Jason, runs away from home in search of a mansion, where it is said that a beautiful lady lives, with the ability to grant wishes at a price. When he meets this woman, Melissa, she agrees to grant his wish of immortality in exchange for his eternal servitude...

...that's about the best I can do. I hope it helped satisfy a bit of your curiousity, and perhaps sparked a bit of interest in it.

Perhaps you can get working on the music... I doubt the atmosphere or feeling will need to be changed by editing the dialogue.

I will read the script this weekend (the old one), and filter it and send to Drake in case he still wants a run through at the end.

I am starting to be tempted to want to do music for this, if Enerccio is too busy.

Go ahead.
I am busy with writing script for other projects, so I would mostly pick some music on net I think... So if you can do it, I will be glad. :D

Okay. I will use a more sophisticated melody than I used for NT (and give this one a higher bitrate to keep up with the more professional graphics)... mostly strings, harps, harpsichords, piano and musicbox... but perhaps I might be able to insert just a *teeny* bit of J-influence so it will really have that anime feel. I'll see if I can do the same type of compositing and music / moment strategy here.

I mean the title of this piece is Songs of Araiah... it would be a shame if it did not have its own original songs for Araiah. :D

Can someone PM me the latest working directory? I'd be happy to even plug in the available images in the script.

Let's just say I would like to playback to get a better feel than looking at a near-30K script in plain text.

I'll iron as much as I can (such as unifying the change in writing style), then pass to Drake for approval.

Rereading the script, I realize Araiah was part of my inspiration for NT, and it shows in several similar themes.

But this part is crazy coincidence:
j "We need sausages, ham, cheese and eggs."
This was added by Enerccio in May, and I had not looked at his additions before working on the NT minigames. OMG we all think alike! :D

Anyway, I'm about 75% done now, also going through spellchecking the original part.

The Enerccio style -> DrakeNavarone style conversion is taking me very long, since the former is curt while the latter, in this work at least, is pretty long-winding. At least the plot is taken care of now, something which I dared not tackle.

Lol, I just had to comment.

Progress trickled currently because I'm recovering from something similar to Dengue plus additional symptoms. I haven't checked into a hospital yet but by the sign of things I'm on the recovery side, but I'll definitely check in should something turn up.

It wasn't all that bad... I entertained myself these past 60 hours with cinematic hallucinations involving Mordorr and the C.I.A. There was a point where I was asked directly by a character "You saw just how long this story could end up taking. Will you go along, or will you wake up?" The way viewpoints can shift, even having an overlord-like being plug you in and out or scenarios.
