A Red and White Fable [KN] [FANTASY] [HORROR?] [BXG]

So this is going to coincide with my first NaNoWriMo attempt.

In a Nutshell: This is basically Cinderella and Red Riding Hood together with other fairytale elements.

Synopsis: When Eila, an indentured servant to her Aunt and her daughter, is sent out to fetch water from the stream in the woods, she is given a red sash to wear to protect her from the evil spirits that may inhabit the area. On her way she encounters the mysterious hermit who is said to live in a cabin deep in the forest. His prying questions and advice soon have her questioning what she was raised to believe, and learns that not all is what it seems.



Names/titles subject to change as I go along. Collaboration would be ideal!

My goal is to include at least to choices. Probably will not include music, or at least very subtle.

I like the idea behind should be interesting to mix fairytales. Is that the final art style? It looks nice and mysterious. Why don't you want to include music?

I'm really picky about music, I don't have a reason not to include it.
I'm going to try to update the thread with concepts and progress everyday (whew!)

[update!] Also another concept for the 'aunt.' Maybe stepmother, don' know yet. As you can see, I'm going to have to fight to get some consistency. Naturally I work fastest with soft images approaching realism, but I also want this to look like fairy tale art which isn't realistic. I still like the initial image best.
