Oh, I've been wanting to ask for some time : does the previous artist have a website? ^^;

KS is going forward, but we need some new blood to our already rather bloated team. We are looking for an editor, and possibly a very commited, productive and skilled writer. Visit the forums or irc if you are interested.

Ooooh, so Syureria is the new artist!*D*
I could recognise her style in a millisecond on the blog(and I only saw a few of her drawings!), awesome choice!
I tried going to your forum and when it gave me an error page I feared the project closed, glad it only moved to http://ks.renai.us/index.php :3

Really!? WOah that's great... I've been following the developing closely.. but I've been ill these days (yeah that's why you guys haven't heard of me for a long time here aswell... T_T).. so those are amazing news ^^

I'm sure Syureria will give the project the boost and power they needed on chara/Bg development...

Cheering for both the project and Syu on ^^

Yes, Syu joined us as sprite/CG artist. We got those editors too, so now only a writer position is vacant. We'll be releasing some sort of a demo in unforeseen future. Ren mentioned the blog too, http://katawashoujo.blogspot.com/, which is sort of a combination of news posts, musings about creating a VN and tidbits of the content of the game itself.

And a very late reply to to monele, yes kekekeke has a deviantart page, http://pieceofshyst.deviantart.com/

Someone posted a link to a test/demo of KS on /a/ the other day and I grabbed it. Looks good, but the main character's dialogue needs some refinement. He seems to milquetoast to the point that I want to debug the game and write it myself. D: Give him an attitude, give him some quirks, a weird accent, or something to link his own disability to the rest of the students.

Also I'm getting an error trying to get to the KS dev forums... may wanna fix that.

Hihi, a bit of an update, and also (yet another) shout out for staff.

At this point, the writing is well into Act 2 on all paths, and encroahing on Act three.

Our big drawback, at the moment, is the background artwork.

So, if anyone out there likes to dabble in drawing landscapes and interors, hit us up on the forums ( http://ks.renai.us/ ) or the IRC Channel ( #zettai-shoujou @ Rizon) and we'll try and ensnare you.

Hot damn, KS made mention on Sankaku Complex:
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/tag/katawa-shoujo/

because it was mentioned first in a Japanese source:
http://blog.livedoor.jp/dqnplus/archives/1192482.html

I am very curious about the JP comments. I've long abandoned the concept of pandering to a Japanese style (basically, if your style is western, then go western and screw the Japanese for all they care), but this project is a case study that I will always keep tabs on.

The original premises of this game are really interesting (I followed the development from the first posts last year, which was about the same time I signed up into this forum) - I believe that when completed KS will be among the flagships of Renpy-powered games :)

If you guys don't mind I'd like post the link to this development thread and your forum at VNProject as example to inspire the folks back home.

Feel free to link anything, although this thread won't be updated, and hasn't been for almost a year.
