✿ Plot ✿
HĀMONIKA is a story about four school-girls' lives together. It often revolves around random shenanigans that goes on in our own lives, put into the story, which would probably make you think this is a slice-of-life story filled with plotless things. Indeed, this story is random, with very minimum plot throughout most of the story. However, plots will rise according to the choices you make yourselves.In this game, you shall play as the one of the only 'sane' or 'normal' girl out of the four. You will, when given the chance, choose the given choices and proceed onto the story. You may have to keep note of some suspiciously-specific details or comments from other characters, because the story will change depending on what you remember.
We have not planned how many endings there will be, but the one true ending can be unlocked at any moment with no specific conditions. You just have to make sure you pick the right choices. If you choose correctly, you might start seeing the plot. This visual novel will have many of our thoughts and interests implemented into anywhere, it could be into a character's personality or a place's made-up beliefs, or anything. (For example, since one of us likes eating apples and those mandarin orange thing, we'll put those traits into one of the characters. Another of our member is shy and quiet, and greatly dislikes violence, so we'll put that trait into another character.)
The settings;
I didn't really want to make the post too long, so I kinda wrote the details about the settings (and anything else that qualifies) into a Google Doc here. Do tell me if it's not allowed to post links to other sites... I'll find an alternate way, somehow.
✿ Characters ✿
Main Characters: (artworks will come soon/later)♧ Hanachi "Hana" Reika: she's playful and carefree. She's also lazy. Not the smartest student, but enough to be considered 'average intelligence'. Hanachi is one of the two girls with crazy ideas at some point. She has her own views on certain subjects, and doesn't mind telling about her views at all. Also possibly has another side to her that nobody knows.
♡ Blaze Kasai: the character you'll be playing as. She easily gets embarrassed and is horrible at hiding it. She's one of the genius-type students in the class, but doesn't interact with others much except for those she is close to. She has her own views on certain subjects, but definitely minds talking about it.
♤ Nanako "Nana" Tsuiraku: a child-sized girl who's somehow in the same grade as the other main characters. Not only does she looks like a child, she acts like a child and likes most things that are for kids. It's a wonder how she scores so high in tests. Nana is also a huge yuri shipper; she doesn't attempt to, but really ships Blaze and Hanachi together.
♢ Yumi Nami: the other sane girl of the group. Despite her normalness, she is quite lazy and doesn't like helping others in terms of works, even if it were her friends. She does enjoy having the three girls around to keep her company, however, as she doesn't seem to have many friends. She is also the smartest out of the four. Yumi seems to like helping only the people who are having problems that she doesn't consider 'stupid'.

✿ Group Members & Tasks ✿
Our group, the RGB Amethysts (also a group that writes fanfictions, but who cares), consists of three individuals. (Just a pointless note, we live nearby so we're not unknown strangers with each other.) We prooobably won't need any help until we actually need some, but, for now, we're only posting to report the progress of the project.HanaReiGirl/Hanachi (me):
concept planning: I've pretty much planned out most things for the game. The only problem now is when I start changing things a bit, so it'll stay like that until I've decided it's perfect.
minor character designs; I'm also in charge of very few character designs... some unimportant students/NPCs... currently, none is done. Ehehe. I'm just about to get to that, actually.
power concept; if you've read the Google Doc I've provided about the settings, you'd know about how each student gets special abilities/powers starting from Grade 8. I've planned out all of these, including the ones that goes to NPCs.
BlazeKasai (friend, girlfriend):
major character design: she's going to try and draw the main characters; the four girls. And perhaps another one we were planning on having some use to the plot. And maybe yet another one.
unimportant concepts: just the normal stuff that people usually don't pay attention to. She's going to make the small unimportant things that will be used for the plot later on, which people might miss because... it's not so interesting and not so likely to be remembered.
voice-acting: we're still seeing if we can get a good microphone AND her voice to not waver around randomly. She's not that good in expressing her own voice, so yeah. As for the microphone, she's stuck with an old one because of family problems. Meh...
TriMinakami/TriWorachat:
scripting/storyline: it's going well... I guess.
final character designs: because sometimes, my gf's designs might not look so good... it's good, but just needs skills to look at its best.
backgrounds and CGs: he hasn't tried yet, but he's taking the job of it.
music composition: he's tried it on Logic Pro X but that didn't turn out well. Still aiming for it though.
✿ Progresses ✿
CONCEPT PLANNING: 98%; pretty much, concept is almost doneMINOR CHARACTER DESIGNS: 0%; for my part, I've just yet to get started...
POWER CONCEPTS: 100%; I've already finished planning the abilities each character gets. (For more details, read the doc about 'settings' I've provided.)
MAJOR CHARACTER DESIGNS: 35%; one character is completely designed with expressions and outfits, the second one has only the base... so, eh. Put it as 35%.
UNIMPORTANT CONCEPTS: 100%; Blaze is done with the unimportant concept. What's left is to put it in the story.
VOICE ACTING: ?%: we're still not sure whether we should put it in.
STORY SCRIPTING: 70%; the only things we're missing is the rest of the script, and some images put into the game, because currently it looks like nothing but text.
CODING: 0%; we've modified nothing else except for the script, currently.
FINAL CHARA DESIGNS: 17%; still can't improve unless more designs are done.
BGs and CGs: 2%; eh.
BGMs/OSTs/MUSIC: 5%; he's not the greatest composer, y'know.
THE GAME ITSELF: ?%; we're not even sure ourself.

We currently can't do any of those, unless you want to see screenshots of blank playthroughs I'm going to finish some few drawings and upload them soon enough. (Because it's school holiday break, yeaaahh.)
✿ Notes ✿
Originally, I planned to draw a manga (and somehow create my own animation project) to create a series that I would call 'Hāmonika'. Of course, considering my habit of giving up on plans and later on picking them up again, I changed many times to planning a straight-forward animation, then fanfiction, then novel, then back to manga, and now... visual novel.(I'm not sure if I can provide any images right now. I use a laptop for all Internet things, but for images and scanning, I use a different computer to color and draw, etc. That said computer is my mother's, though, who seems to go out often, so whenever I get the chance I will try to finish the artworks or graphics and perhaps think about uploading them here.)
