Mooom! I'll tell ya, add speedy to our internet! Downloading 50 MBs cost me a FULL 5 hours!
(Anime sweatdrop)
.....Or at least lemme play for 5 hours, please please, pretty please....
Well, the script size should be enough to occupy you for at least 5 hours depending on how many routes you plan to go through (there's four). I believe there was an analysis of approximately how long the average reader takes to get through a certain chunk of text. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was something like 1 hour per 10,000 words. By that take it would be around 15 hours of time, though chances are most people reading faster than that so I'd put it lower.

That's a real nice amount of reading time. My parents are going to think I'm very strange if they saw me reading (they know I hate reading). It'll take me longer, since I after I read something, I go back and read it again.

I dunno.... I tested my game and 10000 words takes me about 30-40 minutes to go through it (I tested it linear without any routes to get a pure 10K test bed). Still, different people may exhibit different speed. 50MB ey? Not too shabby though :)

Threevenge has...been slacking. He's been doing a little editing here or there, but for the most part he's doing what I did in February...taking a break. Can't really blame him considering the size of the script, so cheer him on and get him pumped up again.
Yeah, yeah....I'm quite aware  . Don't worry about it, just been slowed down due to finals, preparing to go to Iowa University this fall and a few other small but important things. But after these things get taken care I'm going to make that script my *bleep* *cracks a whip* .

Mmm... Is that Iowa State University or the University of Iowa? If the former, I'll see you around campus. XD

Well in terms of game time, even though clicking to continue only takes like a second...they add up. So it may still work out. Though I'm interested in what you'd consider your own reading speed. Average? Above average? Below?

I suppose it isn't too bad of a size xD. We'll see how things go along. Still a lot of work ahead of us and a few decisions I have to make that are pending.

Also bear in mind that it takes a lot more time to read through prose when you don't already know what it says. ;-) It's hard to gauge how long it will take other people to read something you've written for precisely this reason.

Glad to hear it ^^ May will be hectic as mentioned, so you won't hear much from me unless we have a BIG amount of progress. I'll be sure to update at least by the first of next month, sooner depending on what gets sent my way.
i could always go to a computer shop and rent a computer with a fast connection...

i could download at least 80 mb in less an hour...
I'm hidden and no one expects much of me... I just hope I don't disappoint anyone...

Well it will probably be awhile before you have to worry about doing something like that. With a single person on each position in staff, there is progress but it's slow. We're doing fine just we don't make huge leaps and bounds at a time. Though, slow and steady wins the race...if children's books have any real meaning xD

Indeed it is the University of Iowa. I'll be going into the Liberal Arts thing until I get approved for the Journalism program there, however that works. All I know is I want to be out of there within two years :P .

Ah yes, I guess this is true :) Taking that into retrospect I would say that the length of this game will be longer (and more enjoyable to boot). But even so....

I speed read, so I say above average. I'm the sort of person that finish a novel in a day (discounting my usual time out for food and sleep). But yes, I neglect the clicking and added special effects eye candy bit  I didn't mean to sound very negative in my first post, it's just a personal opinion from a fast reader. (renken ish baka)

But I'm really rooting for you guys! :D Judging from the amount of work and time poured into this, I'm sure this game will come out great! (finds a girl to do cheerleading with pom poms, since I'd look bad and make people cough blood doing it)

Huh? Oh well I didn't really consider what you said negative, it was more of your own observation that more accurately reflects your reading time and not that of others (especially now that you've said your above average xD).

Well we appreciate the added support! Yes, everyone has been doing an amazing job. We still have some hurdles to go over but it should work out. Don't worry about the cheerleaders xD if I really wanted them I could have three in the matter of seconds...though if you could find a loli...jk  or am I...
