Re: Project Gene [Looking for Staff!)

Hey guys, this is River Kanoff, the composer and sound editor for this project.

I've been working with coffee on a few different projects since last year, and I'm really excited to see how this one turns out.

I'd be more than happy to answer ANY of your music/sound related questions, and until we get some artists, I'd be willing to help coffee discuss any of the background issues you may have to bring to the table.

So, looking forward to getting to know you guys, and hopefully working with you on a great game!
All the best,

River K.

Well, this has taken off hasn't it? :P

I've actually just finished coding the game. It's only missing art and 80% of the sounds and music. In other words, it's a full text VN, just without the Visual aspect of it. I'm going to add a version of the game up featuring only the first day to show the progress done.

I just need artists and a few writers for proof reading and polishing of the text.

Hi. I am an ameteur artist (in the sense that I am not payed for my work) and have been considering working with visual novels recently, especially characters. Unfortunately, I don't have much of my work on my website yet, but here is the URL anyway: http://www.pearlparchment.com. I'd be happy to discuss this opportunity further or sketch up some samples to see if I would fit your project or not.

Hm depending on how long the script is I might be able to help with proofing, while I make a better writer then I do an editor, my skills might be able to compliment a second proofers. Though this is entirely dependent on the length of it...my hands are full writing my own right now.

Sorry for not updating faster.

Unfortunately, we already have someone working on the characters. :( My apologies once more as I should have updated this topic a long time back. The only art position available is background work.

I'll PM ya.

Further update made. Added in the first chapter of the game so people can play it, and some more art (down by EccentricKarma).

Scooter fox is right, and mega upload is a very inconvenient place...with restrictions and all. So, I took the liberty of mirroring the downloads (I hope you don't mind).

Demo- http://www.animenotenshi.com/Mirror/genedemo.rar

Track 1- http://www.animenotenshi.com/Mirror/PenultimaLooped.mp3

Track 2- http://www.animenotenshi.com/Mirror/RK_ ... ion_v7.wav

Note: To download the tracks rather than just play them, right click and save.

Thanks, I'll go ahead and add these into the OP. Last one doesn't seem to work, though.

My apologies, it seemed to try and shorten the link and that killed it. I renamed it to just:

http://www.animenotenshi.com/Mirror/PoliceStation.wav

No thanks needed, just helping out how I can.
