Right now, we support using mpgs as backgrounds, but not avis. I think the end result is basically the same, even if the video compression format is a bit different.

Wasn't there a problem with sound being overridden by the mpg?

Sort of. If you're playing a movie, the audio comes from the movie rather than the rest of the sound system. I'm not sure if this is really a problem, however.

Suggestion: Why not make small changes and different color schemes for each girl's mecha other than just the weapon loadout? Like this one has a different shoulder pad, different head design, etc. You know, something small can really give a big impact when it comes to mechas. Just my two cents.
Yeah, that's what I meant by interchanging of parts. All the body parts can be easily swapped between mechas, so that's probably what's most likely to happen. That's what I did all throughout Raidaa anyways. I had a single "base" ship that I just added different jewelery to make a number of different designs. The mecha you see at the first post is the "base" mecha before any jewerlery is added to it.

That's great. ^_^ Good, so I wasn't going to have to use .gifs afterall. XD

A little birdy in the sky
Dropped a poopie in my eye

But thanked the Lord that cows don't fly!

Ooh, new designs. I like Asaga's new hairstyle, but I think Ikkari should have a high ponytail. >_>

The mech looks great. Your 3D modeling skills are definitely impressive.

Thanks for the comments everyone. ^_^ Right now, I'm currently linearting and colouring all the characters. I hope they turn out alright... o_o; The next time you see them, they'll all be upgraded with their new looks!

Indeed! She looks a lot more natural in posture than previously, not to mention the hair is more bouncy and lifelike!

(But... if it were me, I'd be removing the lines on the neck. They only stand out that much when the person's aged quite a bit more than Asaga there... and the bit in the middle makes me think of an Adam's apple... :/)

I like it... but...

That ear seems to be placed abnormally forward. It looks like a cheek-ear, which is probably not the intent. Maybe an artist with knowledge of anatomy can figure out what I mean and phrase it in a way that makes sense.

Man... I just realized what I did wrong on all my characters... The sides of their heads are diagonal when they should all be vertical, so their heads look like arrowheads. Looks like I'll have to fix them up tommarow though. No time today. >_<;;

Oh my, you've improved so much! ^^ Not only the lines, but the colouring and contrast are a lot better too. Keep up the good work! :)

That's not that uncommon, really, in the manga style. And it doesn't look that bad, at least in the case above.

I see the same thing PyTom mentions with the ear, but I think it can be relatively simply fixed.

Firstly, but less importantly, the shape of it is, if anything, too realistic for the style; cute manga characters commonly have totally-round ears, to avoid the extra detail detracting from the face, because the face is where all the emotion is unless you're talking about catgirls.

Secondly, the ear should lie behind the jawline, not in front of it. Sure, on a real human being the two kind of meet ambiguously just below the lobe, but real human faces have all kinds of other depth cues which aren't so clear on manga-stylised pictures. Essentially, where the earlobe meets the jawline you've currently got the horizontal line of the ear over the top of the vertical line of the jaw, and it should probably be the other way around. Similarly, at the top of the ear it should really show hair behind it, not skin; pretty much everyone's hairline meets the top of the ear until they go bald, and women don't tend to go bald.
These two cues - the jawline disappearing behind the ear and the bare skin behind the top of the ear - make the ear itself look like it's much further forward than it should be.
