Haha, thanks for the (funny) comments. xD It's teh loli powa!

@Hime: Wha-, really? I'm sure you're aware that Amaya is the poor girl that I first posted. It comes as a surprise to me that someone thinks of her as moé (even considering the different definitions of moé). Hm, about her, I see her as a strong person, as she lives in poor conditions. I guess she's a bit shy also. But I certainly won't write her out as a helpless, clueless girl. At least, I will try not to. xD And, I don't know if I already mentioned this, but Amaya is the main girl of the game (and the only one I've thought of the ending xD).

Give her a pair of glasses and I'll drop my pa- Excuse me? I did not make a comment yet, don't look at me like that D: I'll drop my painting of Nayuki from Kanon and replace it with her >.<

Was that what I was really going to say? No. Do I have a painting of Nayuki? No, wish I did. Was I going to use the word pants? Yes, yes I was.

Annnyway, I'd consider her moé to a degree.

Though she does need glasses and maybe a giant sword twice her size...yeah that should do it...

Waahh... Mai looks good. So cute! *thumbs up*

Mmm... About her orientation though, I think she's just a couple of degrees slanted to the right. You should try rotating her a bit on Photoshop. :3

And speaking of Kanon, Amaya looks kind of like Shiori, doesn't she? ^_^ Could it be a reference?

@bloodywyvern: Getting her glasses wouldn't really be right. She can't afford them. A sword... now really... xD I guess you'll have to stick with your Nayuki painting for a while longer. And to make it up to you I'll give you some Special Jam. My treat. :3

@Samu-kun: Yeah, you're right, she is a bit tilted to the right. Anyway, those are concept sketches, so I'm not planning on using them on the game itself (may use the same positions, but probably redrawn or recolored). But yes, I've tried and rotating her eases the fact that she's leaning to the right. Thanks.

Edit: Just saw that question. Hmm, no, I don't really think it was a reference to Shiori. I never thought of that until now. If anything, I did go with the sort of hairstyle, but even then I thought more of that witch from Rosario than Shiori when I sketched her.

Well, Shiori is uber cute and that girl is just cute so therefore it's impossible for them to be similar by the laws of cuteness. Or something like that.

I'll have to pass on the jam, I remember it all too well...as for the glasses...it was sorta a joke since I love girls with glasses. But, well, she could have always found them abandoned and slightly broken on the side of the road xD

Eh... today is a big no-no day. I can't do a double character update now as I originally planned and I really messed up coloring Shizuka. :'< I should just give up airbrushing for now.

Well, about Shizuka, what can I say? Cold, mysterious girl (no, really), comes from a rich family and often goes to church. Has a strong dislike for the abnormal, being the (somewhat extremist) catholic girl that she is.

... *frustrated* Really need to re-color that sometime soon. At least I learned a new way to do the eyes. I apologise for all these variations, but I'm still finding myself at coloring, so I need to try stuff out. Of course, in the game itself it will only have one coloring style. It's just that I don't have that much time, and I merge these concepts with trying different stuff in photoshop.

Mmmm... Gothy loli style. I like. :3 I think she looks pretty good. ^_^ Just be careful with your sketches. I've noticed that all your characters seem to be slanting on their right a bit... I recommend mirroring the sketch horizonally and then linearting the mirrored sketched so that you can fix those errors as you lineart. :3

But I actually do that. Not as I lineart, because I'd need a tablet for that. I first sketch, use some kind of "transparent paper" (don't know the english term for it), I trace the lines over front and back and correct possible mistakes at that phase. Then I trace the front again over a clean paper, trace it again and then I scan it. And believe, that sketch was a freaking pain, I corrected a lot of mistakes. She may seem that she's leaning to her right, I guess, because I had to rotate the original version since she was leaning a bit more...

Uh, when you say you noticed my characters leaning to their right... I really can't see anything in Amaya's case, and Mai is leaning to her left. Sorry, I've been playing too much Phoenix Wright. xD

I'll try using a ruler next time I draw.

Something a little bit off, I wonder why about Suzuka, maybe something made her head unbalanced. Her body don't lean, but I think it's her head, only her head.

Hm, I'd say the face is wider than what I wanted it to be. That's the bad thing about tracing an image over and over. Anyway, I recolored her. May is going to be hell for me, I have three works due in the same day, and a lot of tests and more works afterwards.

Anyway, Shizuka recolored. She does look better like that. But as stated, the face seems too wide. Oh well, I did say that I probably wouldn't be using these sketches for the game.

Mmm... Call me strange, but I kind of like the less saturated colours in the original picture better. XD Plus, I think the shading style for the updated picture is a bit different from the style that were used in the other characters. Shizuka's shading is more sharp and defined, while for Mai, it's alot more airbrushed and gradiant-like. I actually like the style used to shade Mai alot better. Also, be careful to keep the same width and colour for the lineart for all the characters. *nodnod*

Will there be gruesome deaths in this like in Higurashi? XD

Well, when you say other characters, it almost seems that you forgot Amaya again. xD She's also cel shaded. Mai does have a quick airbrushing. Well, I can understand you liking the airbrushing more, it can get more impressive results. But. My airbrushing sucks. It feels tasteless. It's doesn't feel like airbrushing or cel-shading. I feel that my noob cel shading feels more accomplished than my airbrushing. But even if I know this, I really love to admire good airbrushing in visual novels. So when I color it happens that I will use a soft brush and from there I end up airbrushing. xD Anyway, I'm not seeing myself make a quality jump in the next months or so at airbrushing so I'd expect for the characters to be cel-shaded. I still have yet to grasp how to determine shadows well, and that's a vital requirement for airbrushing.

Wow, I talked too much. xD

So, for your question, the answer is: *drums* ..... yes xD. There will be dead ends, and you'll lose your head literally or something like that. I only wrote one up until now - I haven't written anything in a looooooong time :'< . I need to get back to it, I so want to write Amaya's path. Anyway... When in the future I release a demo, rest assured, there will be a choice selection with death awaiting at one of the paths. Even if you determine the dangerous one, your consciousness will hold you back. And there's always reversed psychology. xD
