Patchwork’s Curse -[BxB, BxG]- A Supernatural/Romance VN

HAHAHA I FINALLY THOUGHT OF A FINAl title (but I'm busy rn so expect a couple days to have this up!)

Premise:
Cast out from society after you become cursed by a witch, you run away from your family to find a more accepting place of residence. Within the hour, you unknowingly pass through a portal where only monsters and the cursed can travel, to a place coined "The Demon's Rest" by locals. Having the scent of the human world on you quickly gives away to everyone that you're new, and, not before long, a friendly couple faces come to your aid and help you about... but, of course, they don't say a word about everyone being real life monsters as they slyly take you over to their apartment complex. As witching hour - 12:00 a.m. - strikes, the building shakes, filling with creatures of the night... as well as other peculiar things resident only to the portal town. As you adjust to your new life, you come to realize how much better you feel being a part of the fantastic new world you've entered... and also that the new friends you've made are, well... actually rather cute! But are they all as they seem? Which is more dangerous than the others? Ah, who cares? Your thrilling love life begins!

Protag:

Jade Kaller.

A bright, excitable kid guy of 21 who grew up fascinated by monster lore and the occult. He enjoys long walks through graveyards, vampires, attempting to summon demons... and not dying while venturing into secluded forests. His family, while accepting of these strange hobbies of his, do not understand why he'd ever want to come face to face with anything but other humans - in fact, he could almost swear they were too forceful about that! The horn curse seems to do more damage than just look cool... eh, it's nothing to worry about.

Lucious Leblanc.

A devious fairy known for being a wicked prankster. However, he's actually quite charming and friendly most of the time that he's around you. Above all else, though... he is practically your guardian angel when you walk outside. You never know who wants to eat you, here, you know...? But, uh - the guy kinda looks at you funny, too... actually, he does have that other form...

Isaac Kleid.

A grumpy young man in his early 20's who's just like you - cursed! Though you can't see anything wrong with him other than somewhat razor-like teeth... huh. Oh well. He's easy to talk to, and a riot when you get to know him, but... man, he's laughably awkward when anyone first meets him. You seemed to have overloaded the scale, though, and his clumsiness has joined the fray.

Shikoba Zamora.

They don't have a gender, but they're female in their presentation and don't mind being 'she' as well. Having a fondness for bugs, and to extreme levels, they go so far as to take care of any stray bug they find wandering around the apartment when witching hour strikes. When the things try to eat her, she ruthlessly whacks them into submission with her bare hands. They can be scary...

Jennie Valentine.

A vampire from the 50s, she's a hoot and a half to be around - well, when she's with her friends. Being an introvert, she's particularly silent when she's among new people, you included. She also blends in with just about everyone and everything, so not many people notice her. And that's even when they invited her over to hang out. You don't know how, though - she's gorgeous!

Details:

Well, first of all, this ain't a PG story, kiddos. Maybe 16+ for language/some odd phrases from the cast? Moving on. I expect this to be a medium project, with 8-12 endings depending on how intense I want the game to be ("what? intense? isn't this just romance?") HAHAHAHAHA... there will be pain. Anyways. I already have one other person helping me along with my idea, as more of an idea bouncer and possibly second writer once we have a set plot for each route. For now, though, I'm on my own! And also putting this here so everyone else know's what's coming. More details in the future! And... finished art. I apologize AGAIN for that, LMAO.

Who all is working on this?: So far, only me and one friend of mine (who's a coder)! She's great - but she's not on the forums, so I can't link to her. I'll likely ask for further help in the future, tbh. If we can't put together a GUI design we like, or if we want special music and voice talent, we'll recruit for that - Oh! We'd also love to have a few proofreaders/test subjects in the near future for test builds of routes as we move along. I can write 2,000 words a night, so I'm quick at this.

Well. Someone who can put up with your amazingly detailed characters (I kid, I kid, I just want more). Seriously though, I'm picturing a carefree/bad@ss guy that just goes "Well Frick it all, Imma live in Demons Rest and kiss a monster" without being sarcastic.

I'm curious as to what classified as a "curse". How is this darling protagonist cursed? Evil bunny slippers?

Haha, thank you! And yes, "Mr. Fairy's" true form may be a bit scary, but I bet he'd still cry if you said his tie didn't match his shoes. Also, you're absolutely correct about grumpy man being one heck of a sweetheart. And that my vampire wants to eat you.

I probably should have elaborated since there's no design yet, HAHA. The main character is going to have two tiny horns on their forehead that are noticeably inhuman, sort of like this. I'll take note of your suggestion, that's pretty close to what my partner had in mind as well, omg.

There's definitely going to be some moments of backstory on the curse, as well as problems that arise in the protag's near future because of it. As for anything more than that... hmmmmm. I wonder. :^)

We don't have near enough BL games with a good plot beyond, "I'm gay, I wanna get laid", IMO, so... not that there's anything wrong with that kind of game, but I do like a BIT of plot with my porn. As to dear MC, I agree with the others. But I must admit, I DO enjoy sarcasm, so maybe if there are any bad guys (like the person who cursed him) that he has to confront, maybe have some sarcasm there? *begs shamelessly* //shot

That's actually the reason why I wanted to start making this game, and others like it in the future. I grew tired of the whole "gay? me too! let's make out" situation, as well as all of the largely flat characters across the genre. I felt like the BL community could use my help on the matter! Helps to be gay myself, I suppose.

Hey everyone! My partner and I decided on a protag. He's a nerd... and reckless. And throws as much shade as he'd throw a pokeball, were he a pokemon trainer. Perfect combo, tbh.

Edit: In other news, I've started sketching thumbnails when I have spare time! Here's a look at the psychic's shop, where you'll be able to get your fortune told (aka - where you'll check on your stats for characters to see how interested they are in you. Note: you will be able to get negative readings if you're RUDE ENOUGH.)

You won't get thrown out by anyone, but you'll earn a hilarious love-hate relationship instead of the generic happy good end. You can't lose if you get enough negative points, but things are vastly different. Of course, we're putting in a third menu choice acting as red herrings that give you different bad endings if you pick too many.

Edit: Just saw DP... OMG, CUUUUUTE!!!
