This is more of a BL/ yaoi otome with the option to date girls.
~Plot~
Jay Myers is a baseball star and flirt at his high school; popular beyond belief, soon to be a star player, everything a teenage boy wants. But one day, a person comes to his home and he finds out he comes from an accent line of enchanters?! He has to change schools, realize that he's not as big as he thought, and he's falling in love?!
Not only that, there's a war slowly bubbling to the surface that threatens to destroy the world he knows and the one he never knew. But the real question is; what side is he on? His choice decides our fate. And, will his choice destroy us all..
It's a rough plot but i intend to futher develop it. >w> when i have more time, I'll be able to add to this and make another thread like this for the Works in Progress when there's ACTUAL graphics! *Gasp*
But for now, it's an idea...
Tell me what you think.

Oh, by the way, this one is going to be a more complicated game and construction on it won't really start till next year.....when I have time >->. But, on the bright side, I am making one soon. Just trying to practice and get use to the software before I really get down to it.( even though character designs are almost done but that's none of my business *sips tea*)

How would you describe Jay Myers? Would it be accurate to call him bisexual?Remington wrote:This is more of a BL/ yaoi otome with the option to date girls.
If the main character's relationships are an important part of the story, then think about how you want to portray them. Are they calm, full of conflict, or somewhere in between? Also, who are the significant people in his life? Do they include friends, allies, foes, or other kinds of people?
I'm curious as to how you will portray this. How will the main character go from being a normal person to being a person with a secret heritage and/or magical powers? I think his reaction should be age appropriate angst. He shouldn't just shrug it off. At the same time, I don't think he should be constantly worried and frustrated.Remington wrote:... one day, a person comes to his home and he finds out he comes from an [ancient] line of enchanters?!
A main character's actions should matter in the story. The person should have a reasonable amount of power. However, I don't think the main character should be the only person who can prevent a major catastrophe. In my opinion, I believe he should be competent, but that he should be one of several competent people.Remington wrote: Not only that, there's a war slowly bubbling to the surface that threatens to destroy the world he knows and the one he never knew. I don't know if your main character could be described as a "chosen one." Maybe they aren't. That said... *if* your main character is fated to save the world, then is there even a possibility that he will fail? Would it then mean that the story lacks a meaningful conflict?
Planning a story is good. In my opinion, it's wise to have a good idea how long it will be before writing. Likewise, I believe it's useful to plan an ending and/or a major scene of conflict before writing.Remington wrote: Oh, by the way, this one is going to be a more complicated game and construction on it won't really start till next year.....when I have time...
That said, perfectionism and time management problems can sometimes sink a project. I think you'll benefit by *making time* to write as soon as possible. Arrange your schedule so that you can get your ideas on paper (or computer). You might also benefit by giving yourself deadlines, so that one part of the story is done by February or March. I say this because procrastination can become a problem. If you give yourself deadlines, then it might help you prevent delaying writing.

I want to start off by saying thanks for the impute, and yes, it would be accurate to call Jay Myers bisexual. The relationships themselves can cause many conflicts because of differences and how Jay has just been thrown into out of his comfort zone. The most significant people will be his friends, family, and/ or lover. Depending on the player's choice of love interest.gekiganwing wrote:How would you describe Jay Myers? No, he won't just shrug it off and will have the age appropriate angst as well ^-^
Oh he will not have THAT much power in the war that begins. And he will be one of several competent. But, there is a possibility of him failing, of course. Though the lacking of a meaningful conflict is mostly not a problem. There will be meaning but in a different sense all together. Like, changing views.
I'm starting to be more hard on myself with delaying trying to write the story and It is quite easy to fit into my schedule if it wasn't so out of order. However, with saying that, starting to write it about today and hope to finish one part, like you said, by mid February.
Also, thanks for the pointing some plot holes and giving some pointers. It's really appreciated! <3
