No in the end I didn't use the new font system because didn't want to change such important thing just 2 days before release: this is asking for troubles! :lol: so I used normal TTF.

I tried BMFont in another game I'm working on and had a sort of bug (the character name was still displayed in default font) but I'll open another thread for this next days for the enjoyment of Tom!

Ah well, it just means the regular font system still looks nice ^^. Only the italics are sometimes a bit messed up what with the kerning and all :/

I noticed something new in my second playthrough : the top status bar keeps "flickering". What really happens is that at each transition, it transitions along with the rest of the screen, as if it was never there. Just look for any dissolve and see the bar dissolving in, instead of simply staying put.

And now for a few typos and strange sentences :
Keep in mind I'm not a native speaker either ^^;

"The show before my eyes isn't certainly very pleasant."
-> "The show before my eyes certainly isn't very pleasant." should be better.

"Marie puts her arms round my neck, staring into my eyes."
-> I suppose "round" might work, but noting it in case you meant "around" and typoed it.

"John is nothing to me in this moment."
-> I'd go with "at this moment", but not saying this is a mistake. I've just never seen this version.

"Hello. Want to take a walk on deck?"
-> Again, probably correct, but my mind want to say "on the deck".

"I don't see any bad in resistance, but I don't see any good in it, either..."
-> "I don't see anything wrong in resisting, but I don't see any good in it, either..."
Again, personal preference :)

"We go up to the stern, to better admire the see"
-> sea

"It's windy and chilly. Not my kind fo weather"

"Marie turns her head to me and starts looking at carefully"
-> "looking at me" ?

"Will Heileen save Marie from falling down?
There's something more between them than just friendship?"
-> "from falling?" I don't know if "down" is necessary here.
-> "Is there something", since it's a question.

"Is Lora hiding something? Why she is always so kind..."
-> "Why is she...", again, question.

"And John? Does he love Heileen, or for him she is just another girl?"
-> "or is she just another girl for him?"

"There's only one way to find it out..."
-> "to find out"

"Many new characters (...) awaits you!"
-> "await you", since the subject is plural.
Also have to ask : how linear is the story? I like the quest thingie but I'm curious as to how it fares in the rest of the game. Not looking for pure spoilers, just an idea of how this demo compared to the full game :
Obviously, the first kiss part is mandatory. But then, how much of the story will be forced upon us and how much can we change in it? Is the game part only about finding out the various secrets or doing some "tasks" such as embarassing Otto?

Thanks for the typos report :) the end of demo errors are again my fault since I didn't send those texts at all to n0ughts :oops:

About the game part:
The game is linear enough even if some quests open some completely different paths. Think it as a sort of river that in some points divides into 2-3 minor flows but they all converge back to it. Except the finals which are 3 completely different ones.
The quest idea is that in the end of the game you'll get a score based on how many you discovered/solved.

Well it's a good thing if it nets you some bonus at the end ^^. Is it based on the current playthrough or global playthroughs? Ex : if I once embarassed Otto, and, say I need that event and the "Sweety" event to get a secret... do I need to get both in the *same* playthrough to get the bonus at the end? (I suppose so, but I'm just checking ^^). Another way to ask this is : "is it persistent?". Oh and... either way, it would be cool if there was a gallery to see the bonus scenes without having to play through the whole thing again I suppose? (unless the scenes are completely tied to the story)

Well they aren't persistent, I mean you need to solve them all in a single play to get the maximum score :)
I thought about letting player play some scenes but they're really tied into the main plot, so would have been a bit problematic. Some sentences in middle of story plays differently if you solved some quests too.

Thanks for the typo report. Now I'm starting to think twice about listening to old Dir en Grey tracks while working. :laughs:

I'm going to run through the script again, without J-Metal, and replace all the italics font tags with bold ones.

Hehe np, she's going to do a full revision of the game for typos. I sent you already an email, if you find any please just report them, since now I have several testers so can't just send the full script again, but I'll just read all emails and fix all the bugs accordingly as they find them. Bugs which are mostly texts ones for now, so it's good :mrgreen:

Well, I've just sent the last revision. It seems to me that most of the typos came from very early in the game; the rest [of the game] was almost completely sterile. :3

Just something I noticed : no price is shown until you end up on the BMT page ^^;. I usually don't click "buy" until I know what I'm paying. Just saying it might scare some people off :)

Yes, well I used to put prices before in my other games, but since I sometimes make discounts, and have also localized fixed prices, I decided to remove it, also because it's the pretty standard rate for games ($19.95) and didn't notice anyone complaining :)
