Old Release: http://www.csanimefan.com/philliw1/kanetsuki.zip
Development Wiki: http://www.csanimefan.com/ggs/wiki/grap ... =Main_Page

Synopsis: The events of Kanetsuki take place in the fictional city of Utica. An unprecedented rise in heart related deaths in infants and males, coined "Years of Sorrow", forced the federal government to declare a state emergency, and quarantine the city. Nearly four years after the start of the quarantine, the city has turned from a once prosperous industrial center, to a ghost town. The last strand of hope for any young survivor of "Years of Sorrow" is a single university in the city's northern half.

That's where we currently are.

We are always looking for more talent, we currently are in need of a skilled artist to do CG scenes and a composer to create a few BG tracks. If you are interested in working on the project with us, contact me via~

We have a fully developed Wikispace which we use to track all content additions.

Holy, that background looks familiar, which is particularly disturbing since I live in a New York city home to a state university. I'm just really posting to offer moral support, since I can only write, and that poorly. I hope you finish it, I left university with my degree and had to get a real job.

P.S. loltravian.

The original; http://i.imgur.com/gHFOp.jpg

We're using smart blur and a few other filters in Photoshop CS4, nothing that fancy. For scenes which take place inside buildings or complex structures we are having those done by hand.

Holy sh...

That's really awesome art! And what engine is that? I'm all intrigued now...

Lastly, what's up with the signal bars on the top left? Was this screenie taken from a mobile device, or is that part of the UI? (Interesting UI elements have always been one of my favorite touches.)

It's RenPY.

The bars are part of the "Shock" system we've implemented in our game, it mostly just acts as a visual cue during stressful / intense scenes. I'd give more details, but I hate spoiling surprises.

Then that's taking Ren'py to the max. Well done. At first, the widescreen presentation reminded me of ABHAR's oh-so-beautiful "Suiheisen Made nan Mile", which was made with a highly customized KiriKiri/KAG.

Sounds like the Piova meter in "Symphonic Rain". That's awesome. I was hoping for some cool explanation like that.

I'll be watching you guys. What an awesome project.
