well...? how's it coming? (sorry! I'm just getting impatient... you know it's probably good if I can't wait for it...)
*looks across the hallway at Beta, who's waving at him*
*leaves computer to talk to Beta about the progress of the data transfer... it (the talking) takes a couple minutes*
long story short, hasn't been done yet...

*sigh* I hate it when this happens...

I don't think I can distribute it yet, as the only two methods I have right now are E-Mail (which I have to wait a bit to be able to use the computer with the email account set up) and MSN messenger (which I haven't used to send a file yet.)

if you want it quickly (and can host it), let me know what the data is for the MSN messenger and I'll add you to it. if not, it'll take a couple days before I can use the E-Mail account off the email computer...

*sigh* and in recent news, Zeta didn't even try to find a window of time to email the game to people... too busy playing Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance...

I hate it when he just plays and plays and plays and plays...

Beta lives in the same building as me... read a few posts above (when I explained the whole "disk-to-[insert USB storage media here]-to-Hard drive" transfer thing...)

...and you never reminded me about said game awaiting release why?

[edit: I just sent the files to bookie and PyTom. it should be up soon... (which may be a day...)]

[update: that turned out to be bookie and eclipse, as PyTom corrected me on... (hey! I used the address on the renai archives!). the file to bookie got blocked... and I
"Illegal attachment"
which means bookie probably didn't get it... anyhow, eclispe and PyTom should have it by now...]

Okay, running ToZ, I get the following error:

Class not registered.
Looking for object with CLSID:{00000100-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}

The game does start up after that, and seem to play... is it important?

Update: It crashed sometime during the shopping trip.

shopping trip? I'm willing to bet that it's trying to create a "progressbar", but it might be unable to do so on some systems... give me a while to see if I can't find an alternate method for getting the same thing done using intrinsic controls...

Yup, didn't get it. T_T
If you still need space I'll rig something up with my ftp, but I'm currently too lazy to do so. XD

I'm working on it! I'm working on it! (if you want it, mikey, PM me with an email address... I'll put it up for grabs via LimeWire overnight for everyone else who wants a copy right now. OK?)

(I may have found a fix for PyTom's problem, though... give me a couple seconds [and an hour or two for my BSA physical], PyTom, then check your email for a zipped up *.OCX file. see what you can do with that to try and get it working [the OCX file in question contains the "Progressbar" ActiveX control, among other stuff I don't use...] I also want to try something from my computer to see if I can fix the complicated email system we have at my end and simplifying the reply method...)

the good news... I got the physical...

the bad news... a D*** storm cell is coming through, so the email computer (which is a bit on the "fragile" side right now) has to stay off...

the other good news... I'm looking at a program to allow me to send email without needing an account on my computer... let's hope it works!

(and more: right now, I've got two files up for grabs via LimeWire: "Tales of Zeta.zip" & "MSCOMCTL.zip" [which contains the ActiveX control that may be missing... I'd try putting it in the TOZ directory (wherever you extracted [mis]Tales of Zeta to...) first and playing around with the placement if that doesn't work. windows users shouldn't need it...])

I've sent the file to Labbit already. if others can host it, PM me with an email or MSN messenger account and I'll try to get it to you. (though I encourage you to attempt LimeWire if you have it already... filenames are above. and I just saw some guy looking for audacity using limewire... imagine that...)

[update: the email program requires a registration of some sort... since it's not in english, I can't really make heads or tails of half of it (it's not in Japanese, thank god!). so for right now, stick to limewire or MSN messenger]

[edit: changed zip file name so you can copy and paste it into Limewire...]
