Not mentioning any names redslash, but I know at least one of you have been waiting for me to reveal information about my project. so here it is. go ahead and bash it all you want, I'm still going to at least complete it... (and possibly release it... depends on a lot of stuff... such as if I can get all of "day 2" and "day 3" done by the end of the school season...)
couple notes:
namelist (subject to change without notice):
Aiko: the current manager of the inn, she has a low tolerance for rulebreaking, sword usage (in the inn), swearing, and sexual advances (which the main character doesn't do, thank god)
Sakura: good cook, though she can get a little too focused on one thing...
Motoko: if you've seen Love Hina, this girl matches her counterpart, although she's a little bit -more- mean than the Motoko from Love Hina, IMO.
????: a terrorist that shows up during the game. (can't reveal the name, it's easter-egg related!)
????: ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? (yes, there is one more major character in the game. she will appear on day 2.)
(note: both mystery characters have name lengths matching the number of question marks.)
Estimated release date: whenever the heck school ends. (seriously, do you think I'm gonna sneak my computer disk from school to home to copy the thing and then return it? also, what prevents me from releasing it from school is two things: A>the computers are monitored from another company, and B> the school has the "Working Model" edition of VisBASIC, the language this game is being created in. I have the Enterprise edition over at my house, though, so it can be compiled into an EXE file)
couple notes:
now on to the plot: I know it's a love hina rip-off (to an extent: the main character, you, only gets in one really bad situation). pretty much, you play a male in his late teens that is on vacation to Japan and (six months in advance) reserves a room in an inn. small problem: since he reserved the room (but before he got there), the inn has changed from a normal inn to an all-girls dorm (told ya it's a bit of a love hina rip-off!), and your character is still sleeping in it. of course, on the way, you get your fortune told by a mysterious person (who DOES appear in the game!), telling you that in THREE days, something may happen that will forever change your life. [ironically, three days is the exact length of your reservation].First off, title is subject to change (although it probably won't)
secondly, there aren't really going to be much in terms of graphics...
thirdly, there will be a save game feature implemented. those of you who want to try hacking the save file, I will shuffle up all the numbers just before releasing it. although, if you save frequently enough, you'll be able to edit it and pick exactly where you want to be in the (very linear) story, how much HP you have, and your name [which can trigger a little easter egg]
and lastly, the HP amount of your character needs to stay as high as possible. (spoiler: you want EIGHT out of EIGHT hit points come day three!)
