The city of Sapporo was once a peaceful home and tourist area for many people. However, this winter, it's different. People are being killed every couple days, one by one. Some of the descriptions of the murders were so horrific, some residents started believing it was the work of something supernatural. Kotaro Nakamura, an average first year high school student, one day receives a scary chain letter. Being scared, he sent it to a friend of his, who believe chain letters aren't real. However, the next morning, Kotaro impolitely enters his home and finds him dead, with the chain letter being displayed on his computer. Soon, more friends of his are murdered with the same message being displayed on their computer monitors. As more chain letters come in and kill people, Kotaro must do what he can to stay alive.

Kotaro Nakamura
Age: 15
Being the only child in his family, Kotaro sometimes feels lonely when he's not outside. Despite the fact he thinks he's lonely, he normally decides to stay home and play games or draw instead of hanging out with his friends. Kotaro is not a loner, as he have plenty of friends, although he usually talks to them on his computer. He has a slight crush on his female friends (Mitsuko and Fumiko.)
Fumiko Murakami
Age: 15
Fumiko is Kotaro's number one friend, classmate, and as well as the daughter of a well known real estate agent. Being a smart student, an MVP in the school's volleyball team, and energetic makes her a role model of many students.
Mitsuko Sasaki
Age: 15
Mitsuko is Fumiko's neighbor. Although she's a teen model (not a real famous one), she's really shy and insecure. Mitsuko is only comfortable around her friends or her family.
Takashi Saito
Age: 16
Takashi is Mitsuko's classmate, and the oldest one in Kotaro's crew. While he's cool and collected, he has a weakness for girls. Whenever he's not around his friends, he would introduce himself to any cute girl he finds.

Daiki Sato
Age: 16
Daiki is the snobbiest student in class. In school, he's well known for being conceited and bragging about his ranking in the army; a sergeant. It is believed that he has nothing to brag about, so he makes one up.
Kyo Kobayashi
Mr. Kobayashi is Kotaro and Fumiko's english teacher. He may act like a confident teacher, but deep inside, he's hurting. As a widower, he's still coping with the death of his wife.
