[PROJECT] Find from Behind

#1 Post by Fastspeedy »

Image

I have a Visual Novel in Work in Progress. The story is mine, just as the characters. The characters, basically, are the following:

Arieliz
Image

Arieliz looks like a normal girl, but actually she is a kind of an android. She was used as an experiment of the project B.E.H.I.N.D., to create enhanced humans. But she is not complete, so she acts like a normal girl. She is 16.

Emenom
Image

Emenom is 23. He is an anthropomorfic tiger, and a knight. He will meet with Arieliz when she is running from her creators. Emenom will protect her, and from then on, she will follow him. Also, they start to fall in love with each other later. Emenom has two forms. The normal one, and when he gets two silver wings and bulks up a bit, becoming berserk.

Yawanno
Image

Yawanno is 11, and she is a B.E.H.I.N.D too, just as Arieliz. But she is a completed version, so she has much more power than Arieliz. She was created to get Arieliz back. But she also acts like a normal girl sometimes, and she will start to consider Arieliz as an older sister, so it will become hard for her to accomplish her mission. She is really quiet.

Miya Haromi
Image

Miya is 20, and will be the funny side of the story. I still need to reconcept her. She is really good in martial arts, and when she meets up with Emenom and Arieliz, she will have a crush on Emenom, making every kind of funny things to show that. But when she finds out, she will stop that (at least I hope x3).

Ghaos Conan D.
Image

Ghaos is 25, and he is Serene's general. Serene is the organization that created Arieliz. He is sadic and evil. And also he has a tattoo on his left arm. That tattoo, when exposed, is rather destructive, so he normally keeps it hidden.

Video

Also, I started making a video for the Opening. Of course, the song will be changed, because it's not mine. But I'm working on it.

Now... I would like to ask a few things. If people can and want to help me to make this project a reality, I'm in need of the following people:

-A writer (I can write, but it would be better if someone could do it for me)
-A sprite artist (I can color)
-A CG artist (I can color)
-A BG artist (it can be simple BGs, and I can color)
-A theme song composer
-A song composer
-A sound effects composer
Please... if you can and want to, please send me an email at: ttspeedy@hotmail.com

Thank you very much!

I might be able to help on the writing front although it wouldn't be until December that I could, probably.

It might help if we knew what your story was about. I'm not going to go and read all those character descriptions to try and decipher it. Give us a summary at the top. :/

Why is Arieliz holding her arms out like that? Is it because she’s an android? It looks goofy.

Miya Haromi is really hot. She’s easily your most interesting and attractive character. And a muscular furry... haha oh wow.

Well, your OP is OK for the most part. The logo effect is awesome. The wind on the girl isn't done very well, though, it's very jerky... choppy... gotta smooth that out, it looks amateurish.

You need to tween the frames more. And not make the hair move like a dead bird sitting on the blonde's head. Hair moves in clumps and strands. I used to clean-up animation frames in a studio, and the best way to keep it consistent is to imagine each piece like a ribbon.
Don't worry, we can get through it together. I didn't forget about you! I just got overwhelmed.

It's a reference sheet, so I drew like that. Didn't want any special position, and since it's focused on her design, I did that.

Looks amateurish... because it IS amateur. I never animated before, and for a first animation, I think it's nice. Sorry for the "dead bird" part. I needed something easy to do, and no one ever gave me any advices in animation. I tried everything alone. So, I'm really sorry if it's not good enough for your tastes.

And about the "furry" part, I won't spend time explaining how much I hate the term.

No one's ever given you any advice before, you say? No way! Well, we can fix that!

http://murdogb.blogspot.com/2007/04/ani ... flash.html (whoops, broken, let's try another.)

http://forums.awn.com/showthread.php?t=4484
And here's the link from that: http://www.rebekahlynn.com/free/tutoria ... orial.html

Here's more visual examples than you could possibly ever need or want. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4WzGRza8t4

As for the furry thing... you probably won't be the one to change my mind about that... :o I only like kemonomimi.

Thank you for the tutorial! But... the problem is not drawing hair. The problem is animating it. >.<'

Oh. I saw it. It's pretty good, actually. But still... it's so confusing when I'm drawing the frames...

Well, what program are you using? If you're using Anime Studio or Flash, there's onion-skinning options and that's what I would use, if I wasn't doing it on thin tracing paper by hand the traditional way.

Most of the time I use Photoshop CS3 extended and just play around with the opacity of different layers while keyframing when I'm animating using the timeline. I would have no idea how to do it in After Effects, since I would just do any 2D animation in Photoshop itself. You can do it without the extended version too by making a layer for every frame and then use the Export Layers as Images option... it's in the File Menu where you'd find the Batch Convert command.

Oh, I will see that. Thanks!
