But, it's not really the first Lemmasoft community collaboration game, is it?
It's at least the third...

So is this one big visual novel or lots of little ones? :?

I can get behind the latter, but not the former. Have one Circle of three people - Artist, Programmer, Writer or something - makes a request of another Circle, and so on.

You know, like Secret Santa.

Oh, yes. And cyberpunk + romance for me please.

So, what exactly is this? A compilation like the Cute, Light, and Fluffy Project? A NaNoRenO challenge? Everyone writing the same story, but different? (i.e. everyone has to write "Cinderella," but it can be in space or under the sea or from the perspective of one of the ugly step sisters...)

Good ideas and suggestions, everyone!

What do you guys think? How about all of the above?

Project 1) Everyone forms a mini-circle with three roles (including filling roles they haven't fill before—doesn't matter if you suck at coding, writing, or art!) and the mini-circle participants each vote on a genre to do and decide amongst themselves.

Project 2) Retell your favorite chilldhood story! It can be a myth, a fable, a tale or something that happened to you. This is for solo, two-person or three person circles (or more).

Project 3) The Round-Robin LSFCCVNG2010. :D We pass the buck around for two months to get it done. IRC is a must.

Did I say contest?

Well, we're all going to judge it! It's going to be like the IF-archive's yearly contest!

Participants will pick at least four games to play and review thoroughly. We'll keep the judging in the thread. Scores will go from 1-10.

Things to grade on include:

Originality
Sound
Graphics
Plot
Characters
Story
Presentation
Overall

How's that sound? If anyone uses free resources, we'll drop certain categories (Graphics, Sound, Story)

  • So, in summary,

Declare if you'd like to form a mini-circle and which sort of project you'd like to do (or participate in all of them.)
I'll go first.

I'm going to aim for a simple solo retelling of The Tongue-Cut Sparrow with a watercolour and sumi-e influenced style.

I'm also looking to be an artist for a mini-circle, so I need two others (a writer and a programmer) and I need the votes for genre. Mine is for Musical and Experimental because I think it would be funny and a ton of fun for voice actors from the LSF or VAA and I've never seen a VN where everyone sings their dialogue. :D

LOL, PyTom threatened to ban me if I announce any more new projects in new threads so I guess I'll keep it to my blog and Twitter for now. He wasn't serious but he does have a point. I really need to register my own forum somewhere...

Circle 1: TFO (programmer/writer), tooaya (artist), sake-bento (coordinator)— what are your genre votes?

Circle 2: JinzouTamashii (artist), empty (writer), empty (programmer) for Musical and Experimental. It'll probably be the main Nexiiverse/ねくしばす/Nextburst circle so I am hoping that Tsundere Lightning and Taroku will join me in this thread.

Solo: The Tongue-Cut Sparrow, Historical, Fiction, Drama.

I'm not sure I fully understand what this is, but I'm interested. I can be an artist or a writer, but hopefully not both for the same project. I'd like to be the writer for one of the childhood stories which one I haven't decided. XDD;; And I can be an artist for whoever needs one. I might be able to program...maybe...if someone really needs one.
