Sounds nifty. Kinda Final Fantasy-esque. :) I hope you find your bg artist. I would help but I'm terrible. :P

Well if you don’t get to find a BG artist, as a last resort you can look around the internet or taking them yourself, pictures. That is what I do and then apply a Photoshop filter in it so the characters can look well in them. But it’s only a last resort. Good luck with your project.

The problem with that is I need pictures with a certain cultural touch to it, some require it. An Italian style touch, if you get my meaning, old fashioned architecture and the like. Shops, market place, that kind of thing.

This is just "Act" 1, and I need a ton of stuff.

And sadly, I have no Photoshop CS experience, just Sony Vegas.

Micro-stock photography sites have everything (if you find something they don't have, put it up and sell it I'd say) Shutterstock has 5 images for $50 so you can get a background for $10.

An Italian style touch
This got my interest. Is there anything in particular you need? I'll be back home (in Italy) for a few days at the beginning of April, i might be able to find you some suitable stuff. My city is Brescia, we have a castle, some ruins, narrow streets and 1700-esque buildings with columns.
Also, Piazza Loggia! Our San Marco Square rip off! :D

Would you like to see this list, then? I'll PM it to you if you do. In fact, you can probably get everything I need if there is even a castle too...

Why not - I can't promise you I'll have the time to get everything, but surely, quite a few things.
I'll warn you, though. You have to take an appointment, i think, to see the castle, so I might only be able to get the exteriors, I'll have to investigate.

The PM has been sent. Make sure to keep me updated in case you need more details. But anything similar to what was listed should work fine.

Not much of an update for now, but hey, I've started a blog. I've been meaning to do this for a while. A blog is good for people who are passionate about their subject, after all. Even on the internet. I've already made two posts on it, so follow it if you want.

Both Jake and I managed to take a few of the photos you had in your list (the ones in the bar and the restaurant I was a bit embarassed to ask about, but I did, in the end!).
I'll upload them somewhere, as soon as I have a bit of spare time.
