『 black butterfly 』 is an otome mystery game series where you play the character of Minami Takeuchi, a withdrawn and shy girl who lives in her cousins’ house after her mother, her only immediate family, became too sickly to work recently. The day before she starts school, she walks her cousins’ dog in the nearby park, when suddenly he runs off and jumps onto a startled brown haired boy near the park’s pond. Though she apologizes, he snaps at her before ordering her away.
However, when they try, they keep coming back to the place where they met.
Giggles follow, and suddenly the park darkens.
What would this chance meeting mean for these two?
Death?
Life?
Or something straddling in between the lines...?
Characters
Minami Takeuchi
"I don’t even know why, but...I think I might die.
Is this...revenge?"
The protagonist. She’s about 15 or 16 years old.
She always has her hair in the way of her eyes.
Can she see?
Even if she is shy, there are times where she cannot help but speak her mind.

Minami’s cousins’ dog.
He’s about two or three years old, according to them.
He’s quite intelligent, but also very playful.
He really likes Ritsu, a bit too much for his comfort.
Ritsu Ikeda
"...ugh. I’ve wasted enough time with you.
Just leave already and I won’t say a word. Got it?"
That one boy that Pomme jumped for no reason.
He’s a rather serious boy, with his arms always crossed.
The glasses help too.
He's a bit arrogant, unfortunately.

Makes you wonder who this is with all those question marks, huh?
She’s probably not too important, though.
Though how does she get her hair so curly in the front?

Other Characters
Emiko Takeuchi - Minami’s mother. Although she’s sickly and can’t really get out of the house often, she’s pretty boisterous and loud. It’s an odd combination! But she loves Minami with all her heart and soul.
She also acts as a surrogate mother for Fuuko and Yuu, since their parents are often out of town for work.
Fuuko Takeuchi - Minami’s cousin, older by a year. A tomboyish girl who plays tennis in their high school. She’s protective of Minami, but gets sidetracked with all her other commitments.
Yuu Takeuchi - Minami’s cousin, and Fuuko’s older brother. He acts as an older brother to Minami as well. He’s often studying for exams or playing video games, in his room. Usually the latter.
Kazuya Sasakura - A random guy, who is in his third year of high school. A rather playful and positive person who likes to play basketball. Usually seen with Shin Amatsu.
Shinji 'Shin' Amatsu - A second year, who serves as Kazuya's 'conscience' of sorts. Somewhat snarky, but always calm.

Progress
Currently, I am done with the prologue, and now working on the first chapter. It’ll be a long ride, folks.
The script and programming are all being done by me!

I agree with dstarsboy that there are some issues with proportion/anatomy, but I'll shut up now because you're much better at coloring than I am (then again, I don't really color at all...thank you, fill tool). I don't have any art or programming skills, so I can't help you there, but I'll be rootin' for you from behind the scenes. (Maybe I can help proofread when you get to that stage?)
