I've finally made a return, and after hammering out much of the story, I think I'm have something good in the works. Here is an... interesting way to describe the story.

A city ruined by the darkness of science, and a man who regrets his life wanders through the squalor of this world, and woman pursued by fate, together they will smash destiny. A blood red threat impeads their path, an army of steel clothed in lies. The power of their combined spirits is the force that open the way.

I'm probably being too vauge, here is a more conventional summary. However, if your looking for conventional writeing, I'm not the best choice.

The main character is a boy named Zepp, who lives in a city that has no cable, internet, or even radio from stations outside the city. This leads to the cities nickname, the city of static. Zepp hates the city, and wishes for a tommorrow outside. Enter Nia, who seems to have an entire para-military force chaseing her. Completely dumbfounded by the situation, and desperate to save his own life, he agrees to gattai (combine) with her, and the pitch-black mech named Arashi is born.

Right now I only really want the mecha designs, I might add a few characters here and there at some point, and I'd prefer not annoy an artist by adding more and more. I think that I'd need 14 (I know it's alot) mecha designs, other than their general colors, there is only one mech that I want to have a specific appearance, but it would ruin the story if I were to say it here. Aslo, one of the mecha designs is just a stock mech that the nameless redshirt army would use.

Mecha? Combining mecha? This project makes me happy.

Gurren Lagann, it was intentional, Gurren Lagann inspired me a whole lot. I pay homage to it in a couple ways, nothing copyright infringementy, just some casual nods. This is just one of the most obvious. However, the mecha are not reallly combined, more as Nia and Zepp combine their souls, and that takes physical form.

Slightly off topic but many of these are making me have naughty thoughts, namely the gettai.

In all honesty it sounds cool and i'll be looking forward to anything gurren lagann inspired.

I also intentionaly used he phrase gettai to invoke those kind of thoughts, because it puts the main character in an akward. The main character , Zepp Luftlin, has a bit of a bad luck motif (he's named after the Hindenburg [which was really called the Luft Zepplin] he lives on the fourth floor, and his mech is named Arashi [tommorow] but is pitch black.) even though his luck is generally just fine.

I'm glad that people seem to like my idea this time around. Luckily, I made a promise ot a physical person to finish, and I don't go back on my word.

It sounds very interesting. I love the premise.

Thank you, I'm not the only writer working, but I am the lead writer. As is, I'm also the only one who has started. I actually got most of my ideas listening to Gurren Lagann's opening theme several times while mopping.

What kind of Mech are we talking about here? I could do some sketches, however nothing actual CG worthy...

I repeatedly watch a cetain scene from episode 15 cause the music is awesome and the scene is actually pure win.

The song is probably Happily Ever After, I use that one too. This part is adressed to Dark, I don't really need CG or anything like that. I have a pre-imagined veiw of all the mecha, but other than their general colors, I like to leave it too the artist. I'm not really working on anything too long, and this is my first project (right now the first of four episodes of the story path i'm working on is on paper, it's only ten pages in word.) if the art isn't CG, well people won't really be looking at it for too long. Also, as long as there is no great deparity between the other two writes and I, I think that there will be 8 characters (kind of......)

Sounds interesting. If you give a little bit more info, I might try my hand at designing the lead mecha during the summer if no one else is interested. I don't have the time to commit myself for 14 full mech designs though, since that might actually take months of continual work.

Hahah, I guess I worded it wrong. I can provide concept sketches, however you would have to find someone who could actually ink and perhaps further develop them, as I possess zero photoshop ability.

Do you want super robot or real robot type? If this is a homage to Guren Lagaan, then I presume that you want super robot type? Like Mazinger, Godannar, Shin Getter Robo, etc...

BTW, Samu-kun, those are cool mechanics!

I don't understand the concept of gettai, and having someone to do 14 mecha designs with no real knowledge of who and what is piloting it, (except for the army, black mecha etc) is..

...

and I want i'm intrested to see what kind of personality the girl is,

Thank you for offering Samu-kun, I'd like that very much. I think if even one design is made then another artist might have an easier time. Mainly due to the fact they can compare it to that drawing. By the way, your art is incredible.

To adress the lack of a character list, I'll write an abridged one right now

Zepp Luftlin- he lives on the fourth floor, he's named after the Hindenburg, he has a pitch black mecha named Arashi (tommorow), and he hasn't seen a T.V. since he was six. He's a bit pessimistic, and is a skeptisist (in the sense of the enlightenment philosophy in which nothing can be known for certain.). Because he dosen't really feel like dealing with his own problems he often times asks his friends for advice, and well, all around he's not much, until he starts piloting. Even though he dosen't admit it, he enjoys fighting, and becomes much livlier behind the controls.

Nia- Nia seems to share a bit of Zepp's pessimistic attitude. She dosen't care much about the consequences of fighting in populated areas, unless someone loses their life. She belives that Earth isn't worth saveing, and wants to create a new more ideal homeworld. However, she is loyal to her friends, and not afraid to get her hands dirty (fighting bare-handed.)

Kaima- He is one of Zepp's two close friends. He has a more positive outlook on life than the other main characters. He's a bit irresposible, unreliable, and even plain stupid at times. He also has a passion for "I told you so" glances, that is if he ever is right.

Ekiso- He's the, i don't want to say loner, but he talks less than the others. He thinks before he talks, which leads to long pauses i when he is asked a question. He does learn to be more spontaenous later on however, because he can't have all his thinking time while piloting.

A quick note, all these characters are highschool age, but I don't really specify how old

and alberte, I know it's a strech to ask someone draw fourteen designs, right now I'm just trying to see who is interested.

One more thing, I'm excited, people seem to like this one. Now i just have to avoid writing poorly.
