soo..anyone remember me?

Well I've settled into collage but to to my horror i found somthing out.
As you know my old computer crashes and i lot all my images for foxtrot but i still had the script...

well...
seems the script was somw how deleted when i tranfered files over to my new computer...

....yeah.
Heart broken over loseing the compleated script i moped for a bit. but no more moping. Not with one script (though never relased) under my belt I'd like to try again! I'll be working under the same tital but a very very different stroy this time...hell it HAS a story this time. And its a actully ren'ai (or i think it is) as well.
I think its a bit different they one i've seen here so far and i'd like to get some feed back on the idea.

There is only one character to woo, but that are two characters to play as. Depending on who you choose you will have to work against your rival (who you didn't pick) to woo our fine foxy friend. As of this moment there at a total of 13 endings, 6 endings for one char and 7 for the other. One story line is actully rather dark and tragic then other...well theres lots of pie in the other story line...mm pie.

Somthing I was looking for in this game was to give players a option to make there charaters happy, or try and make Dirk, the courted, happy.

I've already started the Cgs since thats what held me up so much my first time through, i've adopated the painted look for CG scenes and backrounds will be painted but for ground charters will have outlines unlike there CG scene counter parts.

Soo, what type of things would people like to see? I'm open to sujections, but I will not sacrifice my stories that i have set out ^_^

Oh and btw...its BL. Deal with it >>;

I would say a good BL as you mentioned will be very refreshing. When playing the Alltogether games now, I realized just how much I miss making choices and influencing outcomes. I'm looking forward to some decision-making now.

I like the idea of choosing from more than one characters to play instead of more than one character to woo :). That many endings... sounds good too! Will there be radically different paths or just a few determining choices at the end ?

Well if you mean the paths between the two chars, yes they are Extreeeemly different!

If you mean for the same char, yes, i'd say most choices will lead to very different paths. choosing to give Dirk a collar over a flower is a very important choice. This would refect how you'd like there relationship to be.

Also I was wondoring what peoples stance on anything slighlty ero (erotic) Revwiing with the poepl that are interesed in my game on campus that question came up a bit.
On of the differences between several paths is how intamate you choose to be.

I was pondering a rape scene which would add to a new ending as well, but thats also a very big issuse with me. I refuse to play Enzai since most the game is rape rape death murder rape oo on happy enind rape murder.
I don't want one dark path to lable my game >>;
I don't like rape, rape is not a good thing, but its highly coman in BL and..it could easily be in charater depending on how you play.
I didn't really want the game to be aboce 16+ though.
Hence there will be nothing explicit!
You hear me?! That mean swell placed shadows, limbs and..if I have to, mosaic.

Was wondering were you were! I thought maybe you decided to just watch from the shadows, waiting to pounce unsuspecting people! (looks around just to be safe)

Sorry about the scrpit :( That's gotta be difficult, and glad to hear you are trying again :)

Dumb question...what's BL? Something tells me it isn't Blue Lemma...

Regarding the rape scene possibilty...that's a tough call. Something like that might label the game as a *dark* game, unless it's arranged in such a manner that the gamer understands that this is the *dark ending* and the game as a whole is not *dark*.

Ah hah. BL= Boys Love. Boys love = guy x guy
Its the more commanly used term in japan compared to the dated yaoi acranam that was big in the 80s and early 90s

Actully...theres a darker ending the rape scene..at least in MY mind its darker, but to other people maybe not.

And yes i've been lurking a bit.

but to get either of thise ending you have to play as a very not nice person >>;

Well I guess if the rape is an actual choice of the player... why not. I just hate it when it's forced on me like I/my character would just do this because it's natural @_o...

My gut feeling is that it will be very hard to have a rape scene and keep the game below 18+, at least by the archive's standards. All the arms and mosaics in the world won't lower the rating of a game that's fundamentally 18+, as anything but the least explicit text depiction of rape would be.

The ecchi 16+ would probably not apply to something like a rape scene. It's more intended for hot springs scenes and stuff like that. (And it doesn't help that your game is boys-love. I would expect the age ratings in the archive to roughly follow those used in the anime/manga industry, and I'm not sure how much BL stuff gets anything less then the full shrinkwrap treatment. The last thing I want is to get emails from angry parents.)

Hm, when my friends hands back the box full of yaoi i have i'll go over the 16+ books i have. Im pretty sure oen did have a soft rape scene but it was very very very glanced over. A singal panel, I mean, there was rape in gravitation though not graffic you KNEW that it had happend.
If i do decied to do it, it will not be very graphic, mostly the after effects are what really will tell you what has happend...i think >>;

The main thing here is though - does the game need the rape scene? If you can tell the story or make your point without that scene, I see no reason to include it. Unless you want the game to be very psychological or the rape is one of the centre points, or there is some kind of statement to it, including it isn't in my eyes a good idea. Sex is a very intimate thing to include in your game and things like rape or murder are very serious as well. If the game doesn't handle them properly or they don't fit, it is always very clear to see that those things are just included for the sake of being included. Thin ice, this.

One big aspect of this game is going to be obsession vs love.
The death part is going to stay in, I feel its a important story line to include due to the actions that can be taken.

Rape would also fit with in this, but thinking it over i think I won't do it.
I think its a bit TOO dark for this, besides I think death is dark enough.

Heres a lil taste of what the art is going to look like ^^
This is a very early CG scene, one of the first..well..it is the first actully o.o
On one track anyway.

Its not done yet, I'm not that nice as to show you finshed work.

Image

Ha ha, tiny isn't it? Its a large file since I'm doing the game at 800x600 I think I over shrank it a bit.
What do you think of the painted look?

P.S.
I HATE RENDERING WATER! *stabs water*

*watches clubanimon stabbing the water...hmmmm....*

Just wondering, why do you hate rendering water? It is really difficult, or just not something you care for?

I don't have the artistic ability like that so I don't know :? From where I stand, though, it seems really well done.
