WIP - In Times Like These

#1 Post by TheGreyWarlock » Thu Aug 05, 2010 10:33 am

 I'm working on a Kinetic Visual Novel by the name of...
In Times Like These

I'm about 9/10ths the way done with the script/story and will be trying to do the art myself (so don't laugh when you see it).
The story is about a man who meets a death head on and in the prosses meets a beautiful woman and falls in love nearly instantly (the protagonist is too much of a pessimist for love at first sight).
The plot contains humor and dealing with death and life on a day to day basis encompassing the choices we make along the way.
There will be a bit of a twist at the end too but I won't go into details, you'll just have to wait and see. :D
I may turn this into a menu based VN later, but for right now I just want this story out of my head and on the screen.

Estimated time until compleation: About 1 month, mabe less if I can ever get off my arse.
:!:

I can't wait to see the finished result. Or teasers for that matter. Good luck!

I'll try to get a few pics on here as soon as I make them, I'm more worried about getting the rest of the script I have in my head down first, then the art next, then the music. I have 2 other unfinished games I put on hold for just that reason. :? I tried doing it all at once and got to about the 3/4 mark before I got fed up. This one is alot smaller with about 90% script done, the art will be easy, and I'll try to spot some music online. Anyone know where I can find good music for a love story for free? BTW, thanks for your support.

Incompetech has really good pieces, indeed.

Or, if you want public domain classical music, by famous composers, you should head over to Musopen.com.

Thanks for the info you two, this will make things alot easier for my music. I have a pic of my protagonist's love interest ready buy my internet computer is fried, thank god I use a sepperate one for my VN stuff, the game is doing well and I'm almost done with the story. I've decided to give a few choices at the end just to make things interesting (It has alot to do with that twist I talked about earlier). So much for the kenetic idea. The game choices bring the script completion total back down to 75% but it gives alot in plot so I don't think you guys (and gals) will mind the wait. I am using a library computer so I can't upload the picture right now but I will as soon as I can. I'll be back on soon, thanks for your contiuing support!

Things are going a little slow right now, my job is taking up most of my time. Script is done minus any future re-writes I feel the need for. In draw mode right now at about one pic a week or so... slow going I know but a man has to eat, right? I redrew the main character again (for the third time), will have a pic for you guys soon I hope. T.T.F.N.
