Video Club: A drama [Locked]

#1 Post by Karasu » Tue Sep 07, 2010 7:53 pm

Ok this is the first post of many! I am going to build my first novel off of a failed manga idea!
basically its this, the main characters' name is Kotomi, and she is an aspiring actress, so she joins the school video club, and from there you'll have to memorize lines to make it through each video. Note, no romance in this one but in later, shorter installments you'll get many different romances, such and Riku and Miku (no I Didn't do that on purpose), Shinn and Yuuske (yes gay no i refuse to draw any sex between them, i'll need an artist willing), and two new unnamed characters (lesbians). This will most likely contain voice actors, music ETC.

Hi Karasu!
What kind of a game is it...? I'm kind of confused.

Sounds interesting. :3 But I would recomend having a substantial part of your end of the creation, if that's the script, I would say have it like, 75% done before you try to recruit people. Because people want to know that you're serious about this before they commit to it. o.o

Ahh yeah that would definitely be helpful.... well then the scripting will happen.... guh. it's tiring but at the same it is fun.

as for the type of game it's gonna be a Choice type novel, but in place of date scenarios, or love sequences, you've got acting parts, as I said in the fist post, you'll need to write down the lines or remember them to get the desired end. This idea has potential to be very long and repetitive, no?

I also agree with carosene. Recruit people after you actually get way into your project. I have a project I'm working on, and while I would love to have the art and music to add while writing, I don't want to drag people on board only to finish the game one year after taking their art.
Projects:
Alone- (Horror/Sci-Fi) Complete! Link
Demokratiya- (Adventure/Action) I'm kind of winging it with this one. Goal is 100,000 words. Yeah, it's gonna take a while.
