How long is a good demo you think? Because this is kinda different from fantasia...

Well it depends on how long the gameplay is going to be. A good demo can be 45 minutes long (on average reading speed). But I think it would be best if you think "how much of the plot I can tease but not too revealing". That should help you decide how long the demo should be in your perspective. The first suggestion I mentioned would be the players.

I'm glad, personally, that this project of yours is making progress as I enjoyed your first, ROT, but have been somewhat overwhelmed by ROTA and am hesitant to try it. That's not to say that I won't play it sometime, as I do intend to get around to it eventually, though. I really like Lucia's hair style for some reason, I think it looks very nice! I can't seem make much of the actual storyline, unfortunately, unless I missed that, so I can't comment much on that but the intro video was intriguing. (It sounds like there's something destroying and taking the place of people maybe?) I'm looking forward to how this ties in with the MC!

I really love how all of your characters have their own personatlity that you can even see when looking at their sprites.
Your style has improved a lot since the first installment.
The story sure sounds a lot darker that fantasia, but i like dark storys!

I would estimate a good demo at being 1/4th of the story, or until the first major branching point in the plot.

Or a step or two AFTER the major decision, if you want to be evil and leave it on a cliffhanger.

I can't really say I have a favourite at this point but I do have a slight preference towards Clifford. His description interests me the most so far and I really like his clothing! Also, do you have any idea of when a demo might possibly be released?
