But just in brief... Realistically, there'll probably still be libraries full of dead-tree books in twenty or thirty years, because due to copyright issues, hitches in technology development, and the sheer number of printed books already out there, it's going to take a long time for everything to go digital, if it ever does go all-digital. (I hope I die before then, personally. I like dead trees. 
)But this is a VN, after all, so anything is possible! One way a library like the one Seiko works at might operate is by having reading devices that people check out like books, so that you'd still have shelves - they'd just have iPad-thingies on them instead of books. Maybe you'd check out a reader and load five or six books on it at the same time, or maybe they'd come pre-loaded with books in a certain genre - cookbooks or mystery novels or whatnot. That would account for the shelves, and also for the librarians (they'd still have to catalog the books, keep them organized, recommend stuff to people, and so on), but it'd still be a bit behind the times if most people had their own readers and could buy books cheaply online.
...Well, I'm really just rambling, but that's the kind of thing I have to think about all day.
I'm sure it'll be worth it.
