Re: Artist looking a short project

Q#1: How many hours did you mean in a short VN? 30 minutes? 1 hour?

Q#2: I know you said you specialize in drawing bishounen characters, but what about characters of other ages? Like an old man in his 50s?

I'm only asking because I'm just curious. After I get the story and programming done, I would like to hire an artist who's willing to work for free (though, I'm not sure if you're willing) on sprites and CGs.

Hello, thanks for asking.

A1: For me, I think the length of the game depend on how much character you have ingame.
Two/three main character is maybe pretty short.

A2: Well, I guess I can as long as you don't make them elders as main character^^;
Here, if you want to see the example from my late manga.

Good god, that's a good sample of your illustrating skills... Well no, of course this old man in my visual novel is not the main character, but a side character :D

Then again, I guess my VN is out of the question because I have, like, the heroine, 5 guys, the old man, and... probably more to come.

Really love your choice of colors and the lineart. For the life of me, I can't draw thin lines with no varying thickness to mimic the lines in visual novels.

Same with me, I can't inking too.
I'm using a program called Manga Studio to ink my drawing.
You can make very beautiful curve using that program^^

Wait, really?! I'm using the same program except my lineart looks more rigid...

Oh wow!! Your art is really great! :O For my current project(based in Ancient Rome :)), my friend's helping me out for the character drawings, so I don't need an artist... But, I did want to say that I admire your art style! :)

Hehe, yes, it's quite difficult! xD I am mostly looking at paintings, Google Earth(Ancient Rome 3D) and what's left of the actual buildings to be inspired on the locations for the background. xD It's quite a challenge(especially for someone who has never really drawn locations before xD), but I'll get more practice out of it. xD
