Plot
You play as Tetriin, a librarian's assistant and a student living in the Prohibition-era city-state of Asher. Although Tetriin's brother is very likely bootlegging to pay for law school, that turns out to be the least of her worries, as a family knack for "seeing" allows her to help a woman to find a book hidden in her very own library. Tetriin believes that the incident is isolated, until two people who might be demon slayers or might just be opportunistic treasure hunters recruit an unwilling Tetriin on a trip into the ruins of the old palace in search of the riches of the undying Empress. Tetriin wants very much to get back to her ordinary way of life, although most of all she wants to go back to a way of life that doesn't involve nearly dying every evening...
