Oh, wow, this looks ridiculously cute, art-wise, and I am a sucker for the cute—but I'm also really interested in the story, in that all the characters seem nicely multifaceted. Also, sci-fi! The music also sounds like it's going to be really nice, too. I'll be interested to see where this goes.

PyTom: I'm actually glad you had that impression. It's definitely one of my goals to obscure the origins of Hoshi--I want you to be suspicious. Hopefully, when players discover what it really means to Hiroaki near the end, it'll be quite eye-opening. But Matt is right, they aren't forced to be in it. Each has a, in my opinion, compelling reason as to why they participate.

Thanks for your input on the music, too. Matt's going to have a big breakthrough regarding the music later this year, so these prototypes will certainly be able to reach their fullest potential when the time comes, I assure you!

How's everyone been? I decided to be nice and post the third track from the VN:

False Feelings - Kin's Theme, which is obviously the theme of Kin Suzuki.

Unfortunately, I can't really explain my inspiration for this piece without SPOILING HER ENTIRE PATH, but what I will say is that her theme is a remix of the song that plays during a certain event at the end of her path (even though it's usually the other way around).

More to come in the future!

I'm back, with another VN track: Dreams of What Awaits - Noah's Theme (I bet you can't guess whose character theme it is! lol)!

Incidentally, this song is probably the one where I can explain the most without spoiling too much, so here goes. As stated in her character bio, Noah is somewhat of a musician, but her responsibilities in Hoshi are perhaps the greatest of any of the girls. As she’s the oldest of the girls, she acts as a mother figure to the rest of them, as well as serving as Hiroaki’s right-hand woman/tactician/aide-de-camp/etc. However, as stated in her bio, even though she may seem happy with her current way of life, it’s more of a complacency, and one has to wonder if she doesn’t dream of a better life. For these reasons, Noah’s theme was perhaps the hardest to compose, because there were more conflicting emotions and character traits to be embodied in her theme than there were with any of the other girls.

Artwork is very, very cute. Kin's design, with the spacesuit, kind of reminds me of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan's Nia, which is by no means a bad thing.

If you need a mechanical designer, I would be willing to do starship designs and deckplans for you.
