Well, we did it. To celebrate, here's a new picture of Meredith.

Oh, man, out of all the places, I post, how did I forgot to post HERE?

I bought it, I'm maintaining but honestly when it comes to the thrust and pull of the project, I end up being the person most likely to introduce it to people who would otherwise have no interest in it, haha, but are because I'm the artist and because the story is good.

Also, concept art. Why? Because I am struggling with everyone's looks, that's why. After that, bodies, and then expression reels AGAIN, but this time with hands and like only 1-3 poses.

I mean, to me, this is the heart of a character right here. The sprite is just how they are standing, the little sideshow icons and animations therein are going to "sell" the game, for better or for worse. Thus why I want multiple expression reels.

I want to break out of this rut of having games be static in sprites. They have no emotion, they just blink lifelessly at the screen like freaking zombies. Nobody stands like that and nobody looks like either.

Anyone who has played the Sum of the Parts beta in the Hentai Works in Progress forum and flipped through the game folder knows a little bit of what I'm going for, except that with cel-shaded sprites in Flash, I can make it a lot livelier and lot ... less ... weird looking.

I may end up tweaking Sara's face on the Flash sprite depending on the next two expression reels, but it won't hurt much to change it and I'll keep the other look too.

Provided the base art isn't weird to begin with like that damn Meredith sprite up there. Sometimes, I nail it and sometimes I just derp.
