I try to wing it or I'll give up and look up references on google.
My hands are weird and double-jointed so I don't like using them to reference.
How do you draw your hands?
Re: How do you draw your hands?
I usually just wing it. (I really like to draw hands, so I guess I got used to it...)
When in doubt, I use a mirror to make sure my fingers can bend that way, and also do the "pentagon" check. I try not to always follow my own hands TOO closely, especially not when drawing guys, because I have super stereotypically girly hands.
The pentagon check... I guess it's a technique I made up myself after staring at my hands too long. But it's basically this:
(where I traced in green)
At almost every angle, unless it's a complete side view, the palm and first thumb joint form a pentagon. keeps the hand looking balanced, not too skinny or flat. Remember hands are FULL of bones. Even soft-looking hands have some harder angles.

Re: How do you draw your hands?
Uh, well... I don't. XD In general, I avoid drawing hands like the plague. When I do though, I look up photos on Google, but it's usually NEVER there in the position I want it to be in.... So then I awkwardly try to draw with my right hand and pose using my left hand at the same time. It ends up taking around 30 min - an hour in the end...
