the first few pictures of my comic-strip project

Okay, thanks to you guys help, our young german artist finally drew the first of our jokes (we have a hundred more allready scripted ) I know it's not perfect... but thanks to you it's now at a stage where i think it's really cute, and that's all it needs

So here is the german one:



Shadowblade also did an english one, which i will try to attach.

We are also still looking for people who want to join us... particularly we need an english speaking guy to help us translate them into english (you don't have to speak german... i allready speak german )

i can try and help a bit with english grammar and spelling, is that what you needed? i don't know how to speak german though...

yeah... someone who speaks english and corrects our grammer and stuff... that's all we need, since we are all Krauts

here is a little outline about what our comic strip will be about:

Our first project is "Nanami Otaku" (if anyone has a better idea for a name - pls, don't keep silent :-)

Happienes is a state of mind that doesn't depend on circumstances or enviroment. Yet Nanami's state of mind is poor. She thinks so lowly of herself that she feels unable to deal with even the smallest hardships and views them as big problems and so she avoids them, rather than to even try dealing with them. Hence she has selcuded herself from normal society and her whole live takes place inside her room and computer, from which she seperates only when she really has to buy food.

Her real live counterpart on which her charachter and all the jokes are based, has long become a drug addict and now also appears to be the victim of abuse. Yet she views changing herself as most painfull and has therefore rejected any attempt of us to help her. So as much as we want this comic to be funny, we also want it to be a warning and hope that it will inspire people who can see themselves in Nanami to snap out of it, and to thereby make up for our unability to help the real Nanami.

Woah, the art on the second one is actually pretty good. And the story for the first one reminds me somewhat of Welcome to the NHK, so it can only lead to good things. :3

yeah, it's a bit similar to welcome to the NHK - but don't worry it's only similar... i didn't actually steal anything from it. Its inspired by a real life person, not by any anime.

here is another picture (it's another practice drawing of our main charachter - it's not related to the story, and it's actually not typical for our charachter to wear a school uniform - it's more typical of our young artist to do that :-)
