Re: Logos
@ James: Thanks I will be sure to do that. And being around is one of the fun things about being in a community. I enjoy the time I spend here -^^-
@ Abeiramar: Thank you. I will take your wishes of luck cause I will probably need them ;P
@JamesH: No problem, good luck with your project.
@ Alera: Thank you. Yes, logos are pretty hard, though I have had 3 years training through university. If you would like any advice or anything like reading material I would be happy to help you. I am always more then glad to spread the graphic knowledge around
@ azureXtwilight: Nien, I am sorry I am longer taking requests for the moment, only commissions.
@SmileyFace: Thank you. Yes, they can be rather difficult, though granted I have had training. You should have seen my first logos D: They were absolutely terrible. It took me three years to get any good.

Re: Logos
Here are the last of the logos I did (except one more that i totally missed ><). There are a couple people left that asked for one, but I don't think they are around anymore. They haven't been on since February, so...

Re: Logos
Can I request for a logo to be made for this project? I don't have anything specific I want, so feel free to explore. ^^ Thanks in advance!

Re: Logos
@ Kirroha
Sorry, I am closed for requests I only do commissions from now on for the moment.
@Nana
I have used Photoshop for these ones because they are pretty much solely for onscreen use, so vector is not necessary. I could recreate them as vectors, if say, someone wanted to put it on a massive poster, but it would take awhile. Especially the ones with textures. Photoshop is quicker this way

Re: Logos
Ah ok, I'd love to have a poster of your art but I'd probably lose it in the mountain of comics in my room lol
I've tried using photoshop but still have trouble with it
I find Sai and Gimp are much easier to use but not for logo making

Re: Logos
Photoshop can be a lot to wrap your head around. I have been using it for quite awhile. The best way to learn it is to use it. Generally speaking, Illustrator is the industry standard for logos. Vectors are generally used because they can be resized without losing quality. However, I tend to do a lot of hand made logos, so I use photoshop just as much. It is fine as long as I understand how the logo is going to be used (at least, I haven't had anyone pull me up for it, including industry professionals). At the least you probably need a program that can handle type. Gimp may be okay, though I have never used it myself.

Re: Logos
@OtomeWeekend
It depends on the individual project, like complexity and what they want to use it for. Generally speaking, at the moment, I am charging between $20-$50 for a non-commercial logo depending on complexity and $120+ for commercial logos, dependent on exposure and sales.
After a bit of experimenting I have confirmed that I should be able to design in Photoshop (personal preference) and to reasonably easily recreate them as vectors (thank you live trace). So yeah, prices will probably remain the same now. I will make most commissioned logos as vectors and supply both vector and raster versions. Just in case it does go to print.
