2010 http://fav.me/d32pzd8
2011 http://fav.me/d38dg5z

Story of my life all right there OTL. I remember back in '05 I was contemplating on trying to draw anime/cartoons. But my confidence was so low iIthought 'I'm gonna suck so why bother?'. But I tried anyways. And that was the truth at first, but I slowly began to improve and still am improving. :D This thread inspires me to keep drawing now matter what~ Heck even a cute lil baby can imrove! ^ w ^

Hey, yeah... while we're talking about this topic, why not people (artist) in LSF post their own progress in art. No need to go as far as 10 years, just post any old art you have. There's used to be thread like this but already dead. So why not start a new one... if VenusEclipse don't mind, that is.

My own chart (2005-2011):
http://i52.tinypic.com/2myca5c.jpg

I started drawing on paper in 2004 but I didn't scan in anything, so I can only post from 2005 onwards when I started doing stuff on my com with a mouse. ouo;;
Since I only have 2005-2011, I did a "2 drawings per year" thing. There's a jump from 2007 to 2009 because I literally didn't draw anything substantial in 2008. It was a difficult time in my college life and I pretty much disappeared from drawing and the internet. Got a new tablet in the middle of 2010 because my old one died, hence starting to draw seriously again. Must make full use of expensive tablet ffff D8 *is a cheapskate*

I've been trying to develop and stick to a certain style in the last half year. So from here on, my stuff should be pretty consistent as compared to the first 2 years with a tablet (2006-2007) when I was experimenting like crazy. I also realise that the eyes get smaller each year LOL.

May 2011 be the year of greatest improvement for everyone! <3

Oh wow! Your improvement is so lovely. You can see how delicate your art gets as time progresses.

Deji > your old art, I'm dying. I'm dying, squirtle. It's so hilarious to see it now, you've come such a long way.

>andra your stuff is awesome!! Keep it up, you've improved so much already! (

charmwitch > thank you ;u; Your progression is lovely too <3
I'm very girly irl (romance novels and shoujo manga are part of my necessities) so my stuff just keeps getting girlier lol. Except for the shounen hype in 2007 because of Bleach. D:

andra > You improved a lot in 2009 *u*

Deji > Ohh! We both had the bug eye syndrome in our earlier works xD (ie. eyes that take up half the face lolol) What was I thinking..orz;;

I love this practice meme so inspiring. Though also makes me wonder how many times some of these people practice to get as good as they are XD;;

Anyways I don't have a lot of my old art right now. Though I can show two of my sketches with my tablet I did that you can see. Even thought table really quick drawings aren't accurate of my skills really lulz. Though I think you can see some improvement with actual drawing?

Wow~ I love all of these... Gives everyone so much hope ;D So I'll post my own... I only started CGing a few months ago so I don't have a lot and I'm too lazy to scan my old drawings (which are horrid...) so I'll just post all I could find
One of my first CG colouring (Done in November 2010)
Done more recently (February 2011)
My actual drawings didn't really improve because I didn't draw much the past few months... only practiced colouring X_X;;

Wow, those are definitely good to keep in mind. Which reminds me, to other artists, I always find going back and looking at my old art helps motivate me. xD When I see how bad my old stuff was, it reminds me that I've improved, lolol.

It's good to look at your old stuff when you feel like "you just can't do it."

I threw a few of my pieces together too. :D
