Hmm, stuck with programming.
I don't get what expected statement error means. ><;;
I want to change the fonts so i kinda do it like this.

Code: Select all

init:
     style.default.font = "FrenchScriptMT.ttf"
     style.default.size = 20
But it keeps showing an arrow under the font and size word whenever an error after launching appears and I can't actually understand it.............
And can someone tell me how to make a sprite appear or move at/from a different angle
and also the code for putting chara avatars? Thanks.

Where did you put that code? There should be somewhere in the options file where you can define font and text size.

I'm not sure what mean by your other requests, so I can't help :c For the character avatars, do you mean like a side image? http://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/doc/FAQ ... y_speak.3F

Okay, so how do you make texts appear slower or later?

Hah, I haven't been posting much since I've been busy with my game. But, here it is, a drawing of a character from my self made books. I don't know what I've done with the shadings.... I just messed with it and voila, it looks a bit crappy, but it turned to be a bit decent than I expected. :)

Any advice on colouring would be much appreciated!

I haven't post anything because of my laziness but I've drawn something for my friend. The one that I'm showing is a profile pic and there's also one more but it's a belated bday present and I'll only show it next weekend. :) Please critique! I've changed how I shade on hair but I have no idea how to shade the body/clothes.

His shoulder looks disjointed, and I think the nose is too far to the left.

I did what I dub a "redshading" :B

When shading, don't be afraid of going too dark; the whole purpose of shading is make the form look 3D by using a light source, and if shading is too light you can't get a good fix on where the light source is and thus the form looks less 3D. I also added some highlights to the hair because I felt it needed some more. I apologize this is really messy, I did it fairly quickly and I'm not exactly running on a full tank of sleep.
I moved his nose over as well, like emihaumut said it's too far left.
