I actually already have Flux. It's free, and it works. I manage to get to sleep easier after looking at my laptop rather than my bright ipad. And I'm gonna make an assumption here that most of the people who want their monitors tinted to yellow near night time would already have it installed.

It's kind of odd that Ren'Py would have it since it's not a health and wellness program or something. And it does interfere with graphics.

From what the others have explained, it is apparent that this feature isn't a very good idea if at all, especially when perma-embedded with no default options to disable, and should be left to third party programs. Besides, only tinting when Ren'Py is running and not anything else that the user may have otherwise been using at the time? That makes no sense at all.
My fellow brothers and sisters, if the secret weapon "RunAsDate" doesn't work in the event you choose to have the feature "disabled," then I do not know what is to become of us! OR you could just not update, but then... no more development??
Beware of foreseen potential downfall! NEWSFLASH: PyTom actually wasn't himself anymore for quite a time. It is time I needed to tell you all this!

Waitaminute. Was this an April Fool's joke? Or, erh, is the timing coincidental? The first post was on April's first in my timezone, not sure about everyone else.

(If this wasn't an April Fool's joke, I'm gonna be embarrassed for guessing it was and erh, no offense to PyTom!)

SILENCE, O' CURIOUS ONE!

EDIT: Tom, you could've at least waited for the Europeans to have their next day... Most of us already knew about it, but this thread had potential for further unnecessary posts.

For the record:

1) This is this year's april fools joke.
2) I kind of suck at KSP, or at least at keeping the end pointing towards the ground if I want to go to space.

You're too good, PyTom. I forgot this was the day the internet lied. (More than usual.)

If you really want something like this, you can check out f.lux, which work on most OSes. This is probably something that's best opted into at the OS level, rather than a feature of a game.

Oh, you!

Maybe I should have kept my speculations quiet. I'll remember to do so next year!
