So, I've been having this problem for a while with the new RenPy version and didn't see another thread about this.

Every time I've had to download or update with 6.17.3 I get the message attached in a screenshot below. "An error has occurred. The update file was not downloaded."

This happened the first time I tried to open Editra, and I had to download Editra separately and put it in the proper folder. Just recently, I was trying to download RAPT and got the same error.

So, I guess just a heads up, and wondering if anyone else has been having this issue?

Hm, starting to second guess myself since I haven't gotten any replies... Is this perhaps something dumb that I've done? Or is it just that no one else is having this problem...?

Sorry about that. I've never had this problem though. You should email Tom about it. I'm sure he'll help. He helped me when I was having problems as well. I bet he'll have the answer

I'd need to see update/log.txt to do anything. But chance are, it's a weird proxy or something else I can't control.
