Renpy open environment template

I know I can use some scripts already written in some games, but I would like to know if there are any simple game templates or code sample with open scenarios, like open world, where you can go from place to place and have the freedom to interact with the characters.

The scripts in the most games are very confusing, sometimes a mess to understand and create a logical starting point.
