The return of macOS support in -all packages?

#1 Post by uyjulian »

You can remove app translocation in macOS automatically:
https://objective-see.com/blog/blog_0x15.html
https://lapcatsoftware.com/articles/det ... ation.html

Use mySecTranslocateIsTranslocatedURL to check if app is translocated, mySecTranslocateCreateOriginalPathForURL to get original path of app bundle, then use xattr -cr to get rid of the extra attributes. After that is done, open -n -a can be used to reopen the app in its original location, where its data files can be found.

it depends on a private API, which seems like a terrible thing to depend on. Apple wants us to do things one way, and fighting them is asking for an OS update to break all Ren'Py games... again.
