I Am In Need Of An Artist, Please

So I am making a free, noncommercial otome game, and, as I've said many times before, I fail in every way possible when it comes to art xD So, I am looking for someone who would be willing to do this for me. Since it's a noncommercial game, I won't be able to pay you.

Okay, so the game..

You play as a teenage girl, living in another world. One day, you're out and a strange man approaches you and starts to talking to you as if you know him. When he finds out that you don't recognize him, he panics and takes you away to a small house. There you find out something shocking about yourself. Sleeping, deep inside you, is one of the few remaining daemon. The man who kidnapped you is your Guardian. His only purpose for living is to make sure that that daemon and its host (ie YOU) live. At the house, you meet your elf slave and a mysterious man who seems to know a lot about you. The man tells you that it is up to you to protect the rest of the magic world from the royal family, who--for the past seven generations-- dreams of wiping all species except humans off the face of the world. Along the way, you meet your daemon, a roma looking for revenge, a fierce daemon hunter, a shy nymph in hiding, and a helpful enemy.

So, I should probably explain a bit.

Species:

humans - They rule the world, even though they are the only species to not be able to use magic. Through the powerful army, the king has been able to suppress every other species into obedience or near extinction.

daemons - These are fierce beings with extreme powers. They are the most powerful species. To control them, they used to be placed inside a human but a short while ago, the king grew tired of that and had the majority removed and slaughtered. The species is near extinction.

elves - They are normally a quiet, peaceful species until one day when the king attacked the elven villages, wiping most of them out. Their magic ability is second to the daemons, but they were overcome by the army. Many of the surviving ones were captured, shackled and bound by bracelets that smother their magic, and kept as slaves. The elders of the elven villages made a deal with the king: no elf inside the boundaries of the village could be captured as a slave but if they were found anywhere else, they could be taken. There are many of them left in the villages and as slaves.

nymphs - These people are even more peaceful that the elves. They live among and inside the trees, water, and earth. But the king was oppressive and jumped to attack them. Instead of fighting back, the nymphs withdrew deep into nature and haven't been seen for a hundred years. No one knows how many there are.

roma - These people were always a lively bunch. They were traveling gypsies, performing for peoples entertainment. But they were also skilled fighters, both in magic and hand to hand combat. While their magic ability ranks third, they were still a strong species. However, the king attacked them. They were able to hold the army off for awhile, before disappearing. Not a single roma has been seen in a century. Their disappearance has thrown the balance of the world off drastically. No one knows if there are any left.

hybrids - These are the result of interspecial relationships. They are known to be unpredictable and strong, not as strong as either of their parents, but a challenge nonetheless. Since there is no large gathering of them--the child is accepted into any village of any of the species, except humans--the king has yet to threaten them, though it has been rumored that he has hired hunters to search them out. No one knows how many there are.

Characters:
(I'll give a physical description in a moment)

You - You are a human, teenage girl. You're bright and vivacious and a bit loud, but you have a strong sense of justice. You know what the monarchy is doing is wrong and you're decided to stop them no matter what the consequences are.

Varik - He is the man who kidnapped you, you're Guardian. He appears to be young, but his Guardian status has granted him immortality. His is overprotective and kind yet withdrawn and quiet. You can tell that there is something that he doesn't like about some, some reason why he refuses to let you in.

Jord - He is your elf slave. He is quiet and secretive, unconfident and shy. He is submissive and will do whatever you ask him. For some reason, he seems to like serving you. Something must have happened to him in his past because he almost refuses to talk to you without constant prodding.

Daen (my favorite :D) - He is the mysterious man you meet that tells you about the king. He is sarcastic and blunt, to the extent of being considered somewhat rude. He is secretive and protective of his things. He enjoys teasing you and calls you "my dear" all the time. You can see through his hard exterior that he may be secretly kind and caring, but, for some reason, refuses to show the world that side of him.

Luca - He is a roma who has come out of hiding, bent on revenge. He is determined and strong, loyal and trustworthy, He is very protective, especially when it comes to his people. He is kind to you but will his hatred towards the monarchy ruin everything?

Rigel (another favorite :D)- He is a human hired by the king to hunt down daemons. His first target is you and your daemon, but through some circumstances, you may be able to change his mind. He is sarcastic and conniving, but he is loyal, at least, if you're willing to pay him. He has an air about him that instantly makes the others dislike him, except Daen--they get along fabulously. Will you be able to change his mindset?

Terrent - He is a small, shy nymph who has been left alone. Because of an accident, he is woken up and set loose from his tree. He is very shy and quiet, not much is known about him, really. Maybe you can get him to open up and trust you?

Zariel (my second favorite :D) - He is the eldest son of the king and the heir to the throne. He is very distant and cold, but does not approve of what his father does so, for the time being, he may help you. But he refuses to let anyone close to him and pushes them away instantly. Can you get him to soften his heart?

Alira - She is your daemon. She's very kind and motherly, despite being the smallest one in the group. She has a big heart and accepts everyone. But inside, she's hiding something that often at night makes her break into tears, but she refuses to let any one know of her pain.

Physical Description:

I'm giving you pretty much leeway on how to draw them. You can design the clothing however. I'm just giving a basic overall because I can take anything xD Basically, the guys are going to be around the same height.

You - The girl has long white hair hanging down her back, bright red eyes, and pale skin. She was born that way, so the people in her village assumed she was albino. She really doesn't have to be drawn unless we add in CGs or something like that.

Varik : He is tall and well-built with long blonde hair and brown eyes. His clothing should be pretty nice because, after all, he is a Guardian.

Jord : He is average with an average body build. He has long red hair which he keeps in a ponytail tied with a ribbon which hangs over the front of his shoulder and big brown eyes. And he does have elf ears. His clothing should also be nice because he's your slave and he needs to dress nice.

Daen : He's pretty average too. He has long black hair which covers his left eye (when you're drawing, the one on the right) and golden eyes. He wears a lot of black with gray and white.

Luca : You can have design him how you like. He'll just be average like the others. I don't really care what hair color, just nothing really bright or whatever. But he needs black eyes. And since he's been in hiding in the woods, his clothes should be fitting and worn.

Rigel : He is tall and well built. He has long gray hair which he also keeps in a ponytail and green eyes. Since he works for the king, his clothing should be nice, but since he also creeps about they should be darker shades of colors like black, dark blue, dark purple, dark green or something like that.

Terrent : His shorter and thinner than the other guys. He has pale green hair that hangs around his shoulders and green eyes. He wears a lot of white, brown, and green.

Zariel - He is tall but with a average build. He has dark hair and bright blue eyes. Since he is a prince, he wears fancy clothing and such.

Alira - She is very short and small. She also has long white hair, in which she keeps a big bow, and red eyes. She wears a very light colored and frilly dress.


I also need some backgrounds for like villages, castles, inside of small rural houses, and maybe some other things I can't remember right now.. I've been to the OLEVN wiki place already so you don't have to suggest that.

Anyway, this is a big project so it'll be awhile before I can release it. But I hope that somebody is interested in this position.

As a help for finding artists, you should give them an overview of the workload you need done.

First of all, character art. You seem to have nine different, quite unique characters. How many emotional expressions do you want done for each character? Do you want different poses or are different faces enough? Or is one piece of art per character enough?

BGs: how many different locations do you have? Will events is your story require that these pieces of BG art change during the game?

Event CGs: are there any? If yes, how many, and what happens in them?

Finally, timeline: How soon do you need the artwork? When are you planning to release your game, and how far are you with the script. Some artists won't work for you unless your script is already complete.

Finally, in addition to opening a thread here, don't hesitate to directly contact artists and ask for their help. Maybe they have some spare character art lying around and don't mind you using it in your game, maybe your story tickles their interest enough to make them want to be on your team. It helps if you have already a few projects done to show your expertise and dedication.
