The story is basically a boy that get a trial pet for one week. After that, it's up to you (as long as it's MOE kind of story). Whether you want to make the pet as a person that get cursed or some goddess that descended to Earth. You also free to determine the ending. Do you want the boy end up with the pet or they will stay at master-pet relationship.

For you that have played "I will serve you 4" perhaps know what I mean. 4 heroine in that VN have completely different story/feeling, like one suddenly being a fairy (this is not a fantasy VN, btw) and the other being a secret organization's assassin.

If you can't write (only draw), then you could find a writer to make a character first... or like you said, the writer could write story according to the character you made. It's all OK. Personally, I design my pet (I've designed several) and every pet already have their own basic storyline. Since how the pet will look like (and will behave), what kind animal it is, and the story is all tied each other so I designed them all at the same time...

Anyway, for now you could submit as many pet sketches as you can ^_^

No H-content, don't worry. It's all-ages... though I wonder if kiss-scene and swimsuit could be considered as all-ages?

Just create as many pet as you can (and make the sketches too), the more the better since that way we have more option to work with...

@LVUER, Yeah, I don't write very often ^^' And I don't really have time to do both. I don't think I could write moe anyway, my characters usually die horribly by the end.

So, anyway. I designed a pet, she is based on a Koi fish. She is very, very quite. This tends to hide the fact she is also very forgetful. The way to her heart? Food. The outfit is kind of temporary, I just did it quickly. I like the idea of her being a spirte or something, but I'm happy to hear what a writer comes up with. If anyone want to write her story, just PM me.

This is my rough concept of German Shepherd girl (sans-absolute territory boots, which i attempted to add in but they looked horrible):

I really like doing big dark eyes and round eyebrows because I think it looks really cute <3

I love German Shepards, they are such an intelligent dog. They are really popular with farmers along with Blue Heelers in Australia because they are really good at rounding up and taking commands.

@Auro: Hmm... needs more moe, specially the coloring. Moe coloring is actually quite easy, it's more about softness and colors. For example, maybe experiment coloring like this: http://bionicbong.com/wp-content/upload ... 03/moe.jpg Also her breasts are very unproportioned (one is much larger than the other), along with the arms... Just might consider that.

@Sapphi: Oo very cute and sexy! I'm guessing she'd treat her master like a pet instead, ahahaha.

Here's a craptastic doodle of Ferret-Tan: Her pesonality, like a ferret, is very curious. She loves to chew on things, especially vegetables and jerky. She's petite but has long features- she's so small she can cuddle up in a drawer. However she is very feisty and won't back down until she gets what she wants. (Based on my own ferret who did these things)
I don't have her plot down completely but expect a lot of fiesty-ness and atleast a scene of her snuggled up in a sockdrawer...

I also have designs for a hedgehog and snake girl if anyone's interested in taking those up.

@Fawn, good thing it's a sketch then. Her breasts are fine, but one is hidden under her hair. Her arms (and hands for that matter) will definitely need to be better defined in any final images because they are off. I don't think one shading style is more 'moe' than another. Anime has a hard cell shading style and Lucky Star and K-on are both still considered moe. Colour palette is probably going to have more of an effect on the feel of an image.

Here's an idea that anybody can take/modify if they want.

Her name is Lucky. She's a black cat who is very shy and afraid to make friends because she thinks she'll only bring people misfortune. Of course, because she is very shy in a shaky sort of way, she can be clumsy and do the exact things she tries so hard to avoid.
"Could you pass the coffee, Lucky?"
"I-I don't th-think I had better, sir..."
"Oh, come on. It'll be fine."
"But... but... I know I'm going to spill it... I-I know I'm going to spill it all over you and you're going to get second degree burns on your face and your hands and your crotch and you'll have to go to the emergency room and you might even die and-"

Managed to find the prototype for the Iguana Girl game that I knocked together using lots of placeholder art and music. ^^; It has more endings than three though so it'll need adapted somewhat. I'm happy to make the necessary changes if someone is interested in helping me with art. ^^;

Her name is Nemui.

I'm a bit confused as to why it has been restricted to BxG. Each story is its own entity, so how does allowing some stories to be BxG and some to be GxB affect the number of characters at all? Since each story would have its own cast of characters anyhow, that is.

Oh, whoops! It seems I am mistaken. So, unlike the CLaF project (unless I'm completely misremembering that one as well), each story builds off of a central story? While still being created by different groups/individuals.

It seems to me, though, that it still wouldn't be difficult to incorporate both BxG AND GxB, by simply allowing players to choose either a male or female main character. That is, after all, only ONE additional character, and it'd allow creators a bit more freedom. It'd also widen the game's audience a bit, in my opinion.

@Thee Forsaken One: Just finished one of the endings. Nemui's story is super interesting, a lot more than moe fluff! I think it's a good example of what these games should be. (though each girl should have their own plights) I would be happy to be your artist. In fact I'm already re-drawing Nemui as we speak...

I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Naturally the outline above pretty much is a walkthrough, but I'm glad you liked it. I'll need to cut the endings down since we're looking at a maximum of three. *nods* I'd love for you to draw Nemui again. ^^

And this time I can possibly draw her with correct anatomy and not such a weird looking face ^___^; Man I sucked back then.

Wow, left the thread for a night and there are lots of new posts ^_^ Blame the time-zone difference...

This is my new pet, Peacock-tan (I prefer to call her Kujaku-tan, but that would be too Japanese). An ojou and pragmatic tsundere, have lots of pride and dignity. She is the rule-book type, abiding the rules to the letter. She has a very very beautiful hair (equivalent of peacock's tail) and have involved in lots of trouble because of it. Her hair is glimmering and colorful like a rainbow (though it's due to my lack of skill and time, I'm unable to color her hair properly) but she never treat her hair properly.

She have a pair of asymmetrical small wings (which she embarrassed about and so she hide it). Obviously, she can't fly...

Yup, Pet Project different from C&F that it still happens in one universe with same characters, only with different pet. Kinda like your ordinary VN, but each pet is done by different artist/writer.

It is simple if it's done by one team/solo but not really so in collaboration project (especially considering we are all greenhorn in this kind of collab, and this is my first time becoming a leader for project like this). I don't want to take any unnecessary risk, remember that we blew the first one. It's not a simple one additional character since if each pet have male counterpart, it's almost doubling the character cast. And there is possibility of having more girl pet than boy pet (or vice verse). Anyway, for now, let keep things simple.

@Thee Forsaken One:
If this project is a success, perhaps we could launch some kind of director cut version and we can let loose our true desire as game developer (like to include all Nemui's original ending). For now though, please choose 3 endings you consider as the best or you could mix-match some ending and create even better ending.

Remember guys, you could submit more than one pet. There's nothing final here yet. We'll decide what pet will enter the game by the power of democracy (AKA voting). But each person will definitely have one of his/her pet chosen (so that it's fair).

And please don't write anything too detail yet, since I don't know if there's any possible change. I haven't decide on word count yet (or to be exact have no clue about appropriate word count). But I think 30 minutes of gameplay (per path) is enough?

After we settle on final member for this project, I will ask Sake-bento to make a sub-forum so we could work without being "seen". Just like the first Pet Project and Errant Heart. Oh, and I've been thinking of asking Mugenjohncel to make the BGs, since he was offering his service in case this project revived.

Maybe if this one turns out well, people could make a GxB version with male pets. I've never written a GxB story before but I would volunteer for that.
