So, as some of you may know, my BIG VN project is entitled "New Dimension" (WIP thread linked in my signature), and the plan is to have it FULLY VOICED. This'll be a free to download and play, so everyone will be working for free, but it'd be a good way to practice your voice acting skills and have something new to put on your resume.

I will be needing guys and girls, men and women, for this project. It doesn't matter if you have only one range or multiple ranges, if you have a perfect voice for one of my characters and you're great at acting, no problem! If you have multiple ranges, you might end up playing more than one. Most of the characters are big kids or teenages, but there are adults as well. I need all the voices I can get, as there's not just the main characters to be concerned about, but the side characters and the extras!

All you need is a GOOD recording mic. Nothing super fancy or expensive, just as long as you can adjust the levels on a sound board so you can be sure that you won't pick up distortion or your breath blowing upon the mic. Give me a sample of your skills, whether you already have a demo reel, or you can record one right now. No past experience is needed, if you want this to be your first go at it, feel free to try!

I plan to start a VN team called TofuSheets Visual. This will be our first project, and if you want to become an official voice actor on our team, please say so, and we can use you for future projects!

If you're looking for amateur voice actors willing to do free work, I'd recommend trying The Voice Acting Alliance or The Voice Acting Club. Both sites have people who know plenty about voice acting, have good mics, and are generally happy to work for free. I'd also strongly suggest having a near finished script and character artwork done before you recruit voices. Both forums require you to post sample lines for audition purposes, and in general voices are the last thing to be put into any given project.

As in English accent? Hmm...that would make for a pretty interesting character. Male or female?

.mp3, .ogg, or .wav are all fine. Though preferrably .mp3 or .ogg since they are smaller files, but if you must do .wav, that's fine, too. Thanks for showing interest ^.^

I'm not sure if my voice is ok but I've been waiting for a post like this.

It's like acting without having to step onto the stage (I <3 acting but have a bit of stage fright) ^^
Though at the moment I don't have a decent mic:/ nor much experience.

But if anyone could point me in the direction of an affordable soundboard/mic thing ( or maybe just a tutorial :/)... I'm willing to look into it

I have a wide range of voices and am extremely often complimented on the "attractiveness" of my voice... But sadly I don't have a high quality microphone! Dang. It would've been fun to be a part of this though.

I've only got a mic on my headset.
But like I said, I'm willing to get a decent mic - I have the blue yeti on my wishlist lol (and soundboard if it isn't over 100 bucks)...
I've been wanting to for a while anyway (not just for this project, but for other projects perhaps and just general tinkering)....it's just, I don't know where to begin T_T

If you want I can record a sample with my headset mic (it's not *that* bad...just that you can't raise your voice too much)... and if needed, I'll record another sample once I have my mic and stuff?:)

heehee, a child role would be better fit besides a (for eg.) manry or seductive roll XD.
