Seeking literary mind (or rather, a beta reader!)

I want to get some opinions on how the settings and characters are coming across in a currently-unannounced project. As such, I can say ALMOST NOTHING about what the game is about because I want to see what people take from the game itself rather than my description.

I can say:
It's not a modern-day or school or futurey setting
There is a female protagonist

Game is very much in-progress, there are gaping holes in the art and no sound has been added at all and so on. Looking for someone who can go past that to examine the writing and characters. Reader must also understand that this is secret stuff and not disclose anything, especially not screenshots, for very good reasons. Play it, write about it, delete it. There will be a real game eventually, we hope, but this isn't it. :)

Sample lints to about 6000 words, so not huge, but it will require you to be willing to take the time to sit down and DO it. Please don't volunteer if you're too busy.

If you are interested and I don't know you personally, please provide links to something that shows your dedication and skill with words (like game reviews you've written). I will give you a questionnaire to fill out at the end and that's the feedback I really need. It will involve describing the characters and hypothesizing what the game is about and so on. "Cool game!" is not useful feedback here. :)

Heh, you sure demand a lot. And I also think you might be a bit paranoid of keeping the idea secret... Well, hopefully it just means you've written something worth all that. I do have some experience in developing ideas, deciphering meanings of scenes, giving pointers and so. Moreover, 6000 words does not sound all that long either. While I'm not a game critic in my own right, I feel curious enough to volunteer myself for this...
And good luck with all that in any case.

It's not about keeping the idea secret, it's about trying to get feedback that isn't prejudiced by marketing. When I officially announce something, that's marketing. :) This is only a tiny section of the eventual game (up to where the OP will be if there is one) but I want to know if anyone needs retooling NOW before progressing further, since it'll be harder to make changes when we're further in.

We did the same thing a few years back with Date Warp.

I'm interested on this one. May I apply? I haven't really review a game professionally though I have write "personal" reviews (that more like a rant, sometimes) for some game in this forum... and some of those reviews sent in PM directly to the creators (for some reasons too). Well, I think you know me well enough to accept or refuse me... My English is not that good but I think it's enough to play and give you some feedbacks.

Hoping to get some female readers in here as well... Anybody out there? :)

Well, I have break coming up and the time to do it, but I don't think I have any recent review-type things (and I'd prefer not to link something old). Otherwise, I'm willing.

no worries, that request is mostly for strangers whose personalities and writing habits I have no clues about. :) Sometimes people who've never posted before delurk for free samples, you know!

Hello Hello! A job which requires me to read you say?

Smashing! Let's jump on shall we!

I want a slice of this job I do let me get in on it. I've proofread (and still do proofread) for Zieva, I've done alot of work with Lux Nero and JizIC'E as a co-writer and Plot & Event Planner. I don't think my workload is full enough yet though and would love another job!
