Looking For Geeky/Nerdy Question Compilers: LOTS of THEM!

Hello there! I am creating a trivia game much like Trivial Pursuit in some ways except... Geeky. All of the questions have a geeky-spun theme and the categories will be around the Internet (memes, trends, what LOL means, etc.), Movies and Television (Starwars, Firefly), Anime and Manga, Comic Books, and Video Games and Toys (Transformers, Legos, Trading Card Games).

I'm looking for any amount of contribution to the question pool, from one question to one hundred, as many as you would like to contribute. I am looking for serious questions, specific questions, goofy questions, questions only the pro's would know, and questions a little more general that a lot of people might know. I currently have a very, very shallow pool of questions so any are welcome in all categories and difficulties.

I will make a special thanks section for anyone who contributes to the question pool and might do something else a little more special! If you contribute a question, please let me know if you don't want to be listed as a contributor to the game. (For anyone uneasy: This game will be all ages. No swearing, sexual themes, or adult situations. Probably not even use of alcohol. I will update if this changes.)

I read somewhere that the original Trivial Pursuit (when it went by a different name) had around 6,000 questions! I know that the world of fandom has at least 10,000 interesting facts! The more questions I have, the more players can play the game and have fun again and again and even challenge their friends.

Thank you very much for considering my post and if you are interested, feel free to contribute and tell your friends!

*Oh, and just to note: if you have an interesting fact, you can simply post it. There's no need to phrase it as a question. :)

*Another note: I'm also looking for questions like "who can get closest to the number." The example question is an image of Cloud Strife with his sword. The question to the players is something like "If Cloud stands at 5'8", how long is the Buster Sword?"

*One more note! Is there another place in the forums I could put this or move this, or did I get the placement right? I wasn't sure!

I may not have questions off the top of my head, but perhaps these will help!

There's an online, web version of what you're planning to make (though there might be different rules, but it's still similar): it's called Game of Nerds. The game gives you a minute (i think? i can't remember) to answer as many questions as possible. Like the title of the game, most of its categories are more suited to 'nerds' or 'geeks'. The categories I could recall off the top of my head are fantasy & sci-fi fiction, fantasy & sci-fi movies, math, physics, biology, astrology, computer software, computer devices, videogames and the internet. A lot of the questions there were submitted by other people too.

I don't know if you're allowed to use those questions in your game though...but it's still a good place to start I guess.

@dracothrope: Thank you very much! I'll have a look around!

@icebluehost: Well, my game was designed to be a board game first and I'm adapting it to this. Though it sounds like the question categories and theme is the same, I hope my execution is quite different! I won't explain too much here though. When I make a WIP thread, I'll post more. I'm afraid to look at that game because I don't want to accidentally grab too many ideas from it or questions. Thank you very much though!

Thank you very much! I knew the second one but not the first. It's a good one! I need to google the first one. Why is she called 17 years old?

I googled it! That's really interesting! These are keeper questions for sure! Thank you so much, I would have never in a million years thought of these questions.

What is the name of a Four person all female circle that started with dojinshi before becoming famous manga authors/artists?

Clamp

How many members were in the original Clamp group?

11.

Who is most often credited as being a founding member of Clamp but was actually a guest?

Yuzuru Inoue, often mistakenly called the 12th member.

Which of the following is not a CLAMP title? Chobits, X1999, The One I Love, or Code Geass

Code Geass had character designs by Clamp but it was not technically a Clamp title.

Hmm if I think of any other interesting ones i'll post them or maybe just pm them if that's alright. I like interesting Anime related facts. I like thinking of interesting questions like this. Although two are really difficult questions... but one is medium and one is easy.

Thank you so much! It's fine to PM them if you would like. Whenever you have some time or a random thought about the facts/questions, I would love to hear it! I really enjoy having multiple contributors to the questions because I find other people phrase them and find facts in a way I wouldn't have, which will make the completed game so much more interesting to play.

Because of Renpy and my fear that having players type in answers will lead to errors due to misspelling or other innocent mistakes, I think the questions will have to be multiple choice, which makes it somewhat less interesting without any differentiation in that. But if questions are phrased and thought of differently, that will help a lot!

I might create different game modes if it's possible where players can play with easy, medium, expert or a mix of all questions. It's good to have some of those expert facts in there because even anime fans who don't know the answers will want to know, and through the game they might learn some really interesting things!

(Plus, so far I've been thinking of mainly video game questions, so having other people with different interests helps too!)
