Artist right here

#1 Post by Chibisaso » Thu Jul 26, 2012 7:57 am

ok so all of my work is about anime and I tried looking for jobs online like freelancer but it was too complicated and there were ALOT of professional people there so I tried something more simple like creating sprites for visual novel and so I kept looking for something to be able to pot my work where visual novel teams can see it and ask to hire me. and I think I just found a pretty good one right now .

SAMPLES
ok so I just sketched a female and a male sprite ,I'll post cg's later tho and unfortunately I can't draw BG's

I always find it harder to draw females than males specially with the body ( specifically speaking the breasts and the hips ) .
I'm going to post both of them inked and colored but after I see if this would actually work out and I get good reviews , the same with cg's but unfortunately I can't draw BG's .

I searched for a couple of advises to help my work I LOVE CRITICIZE SO DON'T BE SHY ON SAYING WHAT'S BAD AND WHAT'S GOOD PLEASE

PAYMENT
I receive money via NETELLER because Paypal doesn't cooperate with my country
I actually don't mind any price , I also don't mind starting out for free if you want to try working with me and then if you liked my work giving me payment

The sprites are really cute, but those collar bones are wigging me out.

Here is a picture for references.

Good luck!

AHAHA I GET WHAT YOU MEAN XD so should I lower the opacity a little ? or just actually draw them as shadows (like no baseline) ?
and should I lower them down a little ? I feel like I'm putting them a little high for their position

THANK YOU

I think your problem is that you are kind of drawing the muscles inverted. The collar bone runs from the shoulders to the sternum. You should be able to trace it with your fingers. There are muscles that connect from where the collar bones meet the sternum that run up your neck to behind your ears. It kind of makes a V shape. If you tense your facial muscles you can usually see this pretty clearly.

Do you have examples of lineart work or a fully colored piece? I think you'll find more interest that way because just two sketches isn't going to cut it if you're interested in sprite work.

EDIT: Never mind just saw what you wrote in your first post. Reading in the morning is hard :|
