I need some help extending a combat script

I need some help extending a combat script

Okay, first and foremost, I have the various enemies working properly.
But what I actualy need at the moment is someone to work with the combat scripting I have to include various combat skills and spells. If anyone is interested, I'll send them on the combat package I have.

Or a guide. Whichever you want. I still can't afford to pay anyone yet.

This is the last set of things before I can progress much farther, as I've thought of including these since I first had the idea for this VN/RPG. I'll also send along the every piece of information to do with the skills and spells that I'd written if anyone is actually interested.

I will be in regular contact unless I get told otherwise.

Can we get a little more information on how you want the combat system to work? Is it going to be a tactical combat system, or perhaps atb or ctb? Further am I correct to assume that it will be written in PyGame?

Or are you looking for someone to work on the AI (I use that term loosely) that the enemy will use to attack?

I only ask because the word script often has a very large range of meanings depending on who you talk to.

Just looking for some clarity.

I can't really answer this without an example. It's all screen code with classes and defs, if that helps.

Nope. This much works. But it will probably need tweaking once I get around to assigning skills for the enemies.

That's reasonable. I suppose I was rather vague.
To summarise: The core functions work, I'd be greatly appreciative of someone who can work on it to include spells and skills.

I'm still confused at what you want. Do you need somebody to write the classes for skills, integrate an existing class with the character classes, design the different skills (as in effects and characteristics of each skill), do the graphics for the skills, extend a skill class with different skills, or something else entirely? I'm saying this because "including skills and spells" could mean a whole lot of different things, each of which would require different talents or experience. Getting graphics onscreen and timed, for example, would require somebody with a different set of skills from somebody who could imagine up those spells.

I think what he wants to say is name the skills /attacks and their genre and things that would affect the opponent plus someone who will start the battle sequence. Like an original script but has the idea of an RPG .

I already had the Skills named and calculated, though. I just can't seem to work them in yet.

@ Kankan:

I have the basic functionality working.
I guess "Extending the Functionality of a combat script" would have sounded better, but as per my original vision, I'd like the player character to have Special Attacks / Magic Abilities once specific conditions have been met -- and only once the player progresses beyond the first (very short) dungeon.

So for example, the first basic Special is Doublestrike, and it's conditions are Blunt Objects LV 2 and Enrolled in the Combat Academy.

I hope this makes it clearer.
