Looking for writer for ready sprites (Malaysian preferred)

#1 Post by Nellie »

Hi,

First of all, I'd like to apologise if I offended anyone by having a preferred nationality for the role - but these sprites are based on a Malaysian folk tale (Hikayat Hang Tuah) so it will be very helpful if the writer if a Malaysian.

I've attached the completed sprite set sample.
From left to right: Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekiu, Hang Lekir, Hang Katsuri, Sultan Mansur Syah, Princess Hang Li Po and her personal maid.

The story will be loosely based on the original folk tale. CGs and BGs will be taken care of. I can't make promises, but atm I'm looking at mobile platform for the game. The writer do not need to be able to code, but will be helpful if he/she knows some basics.

The genre I'm looking at is otome dating sim, but suggestions are welcomed.

Drop a message if you have any questions, or send an e-mail at nellie.wyl@gmail.com if you're interested to take up the role. Sample writings or link to past projects would be useful.

I guess that's it - hope someone would be interested enough to take up the role!! :)

Regards,
Nellie

Just to be clear: You'd like the writer to write an adaptation of the folktale, or are they free to decide the subject matter?

Character names and positions, as well as the general setting (ancient Malacca) to be based on the folk tale, but otherwise, I'm up for suggestions :)

Also, since I've had people asking, it'll be in English, unless the writer is happy to do a Malay translation as well ;)

@Daistarir - you don't HAVE to be Malaysian - it's just more useful if someone have already heard of Hang Tuah :)

Well, I'm Malaysian. I guess I can help? I don't have much going on right now anyway, seeing as I have about four months of break ahead of me...so why not? Hang Tuah and his companions were part of my history syllabus here anyway... I can make no promises about the BM (Malay) though, cause my Malay is average.
