EDIT: Thank you all for your time, I've found an artist.
Hello,
I'm currently working on a project entitled Angel Web (although, the title is likely to change before it is complete). Angel Web is a mainly romance based game, but can be played for the story alone. It is the first of a trilogy about the dynamics between the afterlife and the realm of the living. However, many of the events of the story act as an allegory for the modern day political situations of the United States. The script is nearly 40% completed and the game in full will have a playtime of 6+ hours.
So far, I've had little luck with hiring artists. I've hired two artists, and paid them over the course of the project, but both proved to have poor work ethic and inconsistent products. I hope to find an artist on the site who composes themselves professionally. As of right now, I need an artist proficient in sprites, CG's and backgrounds or multiple artists who can excel in separate categories individually.
If you are interested in the position, please post a reply or PM me and I can send you a portion of the script so you can better understand the nature of the project if you so wish. If you're still interested in the position past that point, then we can negotiate salary.
Looking forward to your responses,
Andrew Carlisle
EDIT:
The art-style that I'm looking for is semi-realistic. I'll need 12-16 sprites, 10 CG's, and 12-16 backgrounds minimum. I'd prefer to discuss budget and salary over email or PM's.
EDIT 2:
Story Description:
The main story is that human souls, once the actual body dies, are controlled by being called "Angels", although they are far from that. The angels live on a separate plain of existence than the humans do and manipulate them from afar. The problem is that all the angels have different ideas about what should be done with the human souls when the body dies. Some believe that they should move the souls to a form of "heaven" or "hell", while others believe that they should reincarnate the souls into new bodies. They also argue amongst themselves over how humans should behave. They try to control human actions through religions and that's how religions form. The angels form sects (like Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Wicca, etc.) and end up warring amongst themselves to decide what to do with the humans. However, angels cannot kill other angels, so wars are long and useless.
Not all angels can manipulate human souls, though, only angels with "spiritual divinity" can affect humans. These angels are the leaders of the sects and try to find ways to overpower the others and take control. Eventually, they found that the concept of "spiritual divinity" applied to humans as well and certain humans could be spiritually divine. A spiritually divine human was often referred to as an "angel slayer" because they had the ability to kill an angel. The angels used these humans in their wars by bringing them to their plain of existence and arming them for battle. This process has continued for years and years and always ends with one sect gaining power and getting their way for a certain amount of time before another war breaks out.
At the start of the first game of the trilogy, the sect of Christianity has power and controls what happens to human souls. The main character is a boy/girl (player decides) who has recently died of natural causes and an angel sent his soul to what they consider "hell" for not abiding by their "laws". He/she then interacts with other people in "hell" and can take the story in a number of directions, depending on who the player decides to romance. One of the endings is the player romancing an angel and earning salvation so they can be let out of hell, while another ends with he or she romancing another "fallen human" and leading a rebellion. A third involves the player romancing the "judge", a corrupted angel who reigns over "hell" and becomes a noble. There are a few more, it just all depends on what the player decides to do.

Hi there. Think you can give us an idea of the art style you're looking for, and about how many images you need for this project? And optionally an idea of your budget, though I'd understand working out prices in private.
