Hello, this time I've got something completely new to offer. And here it is!

Well, it might look like an ordinary house, and some wind turbines. Which is true, yes. However, it's animated. You can see it by downloading this file:

It's an early test, but I can make multi-layered animated backgrounds now.

That turned out fantastic. Would definitely breathe more life into a project.

The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.
If you'd like to view or use any code from my VN PM me. All code is freely available without restriction, but also without warranty or (much) support.

Animated backgrounds! That's something I've definitely been on the look out for.

Thanks for the positive feedback!

I've updated the portfolio with a new bg, and refined all of the transitions in the old one. This time in the showcase: rain.

I love that wintry scene of yours with the trees, the snow and the river. It's breath-taking. Just magical.

I had the pleasure of commissioning Badriel for bgs and gui for my project - he works really fast and the result looks fantastic. I especially liked the ren'py "tutorial" file that went with the bgs)

The best publicity, word from a happy client!
Lately I watched Bakemonogatari, and decided to try making Shaft-like backgrounds. Here's a preview:

The same price like the normal backgrounds, 100% more Shaft!

Wow, just amazing. If I ever make serious projects with commercial interests, I will definitely consider you as my main choice for Backgrounds.
What a talent you have, my friend. Keep up with the good work.

Is it possible to make these animated backgrounds interactive/clickable?

To make something interactive is up to programmer, not an artist.

To clear things up. It's possible to make animated backgrounds interactive. When I make animated bgs, I always give files and renpy code to make things 'work.' The code I use allows to disable some layers like clouds, sunrays, etc. I'm fairly sure it's possible to make animated backgrounds much more interactive (think Myst series), but that'd need a really skilled programmer. I could only provide images and basic code to work on.

Yeah, I understand this. Would never assume otherwise.
