Looking for a writer (closed)

#1 Post by Anne »

Hi. We are now working on an otome game http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 14#p271914 and are looking to recruit a writer(s) especially one interested in writing romance and political intrigues in a royal court setting. We have a basic plot outline in mind but all your ideas will be welcome.

How long do you imagine it will be (ie. wordcount)?

We have 4 guys with 2 different stories each + 2 side stories. The game will last for 6 months in game time. With roughly 1 scene a week and 100 words per scene it makes about 25.000 words total

100 words per scene?! Most jokes I know have more than 100 words! Why, even this reply to your posting has 49 words, so altogether, one scene in your game would be only about twice as large as this answering post! You really want "scenes" that are that short?

Maybe he/she means 1000? A 100-word scene is just too short or is it a dating simulation?(which has more "stat-raising" than "scenes or events")

Also, I bet it would take a brilliant writer to write something in 100 words without making us readers/players unsatisfied.

Well, I don't count articles and prepositions. But yes, this is for short scenes (and I think we will have quite a lot of these - like dancing), of course there should be longer scenes, but then the stories overlap and have common events, so I thought that the end result would be pretty much the same.
Yes, it is a stat-raiser.

4 (guys) x 4 (2 stories each + 2 side stories) x 26 (weeks in 6 months) x 100 (words per scene) = 41,600.

It does seem awfully brief. Not saying that's a bad thing though, just a little surprising. I'm very curious to see the writing in a sample scene.

No, it's 4x2+2.
But probably you are right and my writing (which I used for reference) IS too brief. All the more reason to find someone better. It's not like I challenge the writer to fit all the plot into these exact 100 words.

I'd like to volunteer, but I'm not confident of my being able to fit my writing into 100 words /: However, if you'd like a sample of my work, feel free to browse my profile here (http://www.wattpad.com/user/Poetical_Friday).

I've been DYING to write one of these...

I would help out full-time, but I'm currently sort of swamped at the moment with college T_T Finals are coming and I want to get a minimal 80-85 average >.> Not to mention that I'm also helping out with another VN.. Note to self: make a schedule.

What I CAN do, though is:

1) Bounce off ideas/outline some possible intrigues/conflicts.etc
2) Proof-read

Bunch of my works and random prompts I did.

If interested in any of these, and/or you think that my writing suits your style/want to see more samples, it's possible to work something out. Just send me a PM and we'll talk C:

Because work doesn't scare me. Whether procrastination or writer's block, I'll never let them win!

All the best~!

If you're still open for writers, I would love to help out ^^
I have examples of my work that I could show too but would like to see the basic outline, if you'd like to make it available, to see what the general shape of the game is like?
